From the Author
·I spent a couple of years trying to writesomething after I mistakenly enrolled in a writing course at the local adulteducation centre in Melbourne. In the end I realised I didn't like my heroine, the story had saggy bits and the plot kept changing. The one thing I did havewas a strong secondary character who eventually became the heroine, MillieAshton, of my first published book Letter from a Rake.
In which genre do youprefer to write and why?
·When I first started reading romance novelsabout six years ago I naturally gravitated toward historical books. I havealways been a history buff and it seemed to just be a natural fit for me to tryand write them. The Regency period is such a great era to write about, the onlyother era I think I could possibly write about would be Medieval. (I studiedMedieval and Renaissance history in my final year at high school and loved it.)
Can you give us somedetails about your upcoming release?
·My new release is An Unsuitable Match, which isthe second book in the Duke of Strathmore series. Lady Clarice Langham hasdiscovered that David Radley, the illegitimate son of the duke is her secretadmirer. Her father, Lord Langham, forbids them to be together. The central theme of the story, is learningto accept who you are and through that challenge the world to take yourrightful place. I loved writing this book and parts of it are set in a villagein England in which members of my family live. I was fortunate to visitSharnbrook when I was in England in April of this year.
·I am currently editing the third book in theDuke of Strathmore series which has Lucy Radley, David's sister as the heroine.
As a child what didyou want to do when you grew up? Writing or something else?
·Unlike many other authors I had no ambition tobe a writer when I was a child. I wanted to either be an archaeologist or anastronomer. Neither career had many job opportunities, so I ended up with a MBAin business and have worked in finance all my working life. Having worked inpublishing many years ago, I at least know how hard it is for authors to make aliving out of writing.
If you could have anysuper hero power, what would it be?
·My family had some input in this answer. Mydaughter suggested compulsion, which I think means she plans to be a supervillain. My husband said super strength, but then was disappointed that hewould be too slow to save the world. I decided immortality would be fun, itwould give me plenty of time to finally get my overstuffed wardrobe sorted inthe bedroom.
My favourite authors?
·All historical romance authors. StephanieLaurens, Anna Campbell, Julie Quinn and Eloisa James. I am about to startreading my very first Courtney Milan and really look forward to it. --This text refers to an alternate kindle_edition edition.

Clarice Langham the daughter of the Earl of Langham is torturing herself for the death of her mother. She has been in morning for 3 years and has been binding up her body and wearing overly large dress.
She received a passionate love letter signed by David's brother Alex but was really written to her by David. This begins there relationship as a couple. But when David ask for her had in marriage her father says No he is Unsuitable.
The story is good I liked all the characters except the villian who happens to be the Earls Heir. I had hope that the debt collectors or someone he had cheated or hurt would kill him off. I didn't like that he beat Clarice up while trying to rape her. There is never a good reason for an author to use rape and physical abuse in a Romance story. I was happy that Clarice fought him off and scarred his face. I did not like that Clarice was a Spinster. I am sick of Spinsters!! I loved Dowarger Countess Alice Clarice grandmother. She was always in favor of David marrying her granddaughter. There are some surprise twist and turns in the story. Its also hopeful in the next book "The Dukes Daughter" that Thaxter Fox the Earls heir has been murdered. I hope so. he was a dispecable lowlife peace of crap!!
