"Elizabeth is smart, funny, sexy, and so real that at times it can feel uncomfortable. That's what I love about her. Her truth challenges, explores, and ignites, all without a shred of apology. As she embraces herself more fully, we all feel more closely held. Her evolution into this wild woman is our education. And I'm so thankful for my spot in her classroom."

I am reading Untame Yourself right now and it's everything I knew it would be. I am especially identifying with a chapter titled You Come First, which provides the powerful reminder that "you can't give what you don't have" and that it's not sustainable to always put yourself last and eventually those actions can manifest in health issues and more. Putting yourself first is actually how you can fully show up for the people you love.
The book also provides a simple morning ritual that takes only a few minutes and incorporates movement, breath, and some quick journaling on what is going great in your life and what you want more of in your life. I am going to try it for the next 30 days and see how it goes!
Thank you for writing this book, Elizabeth!
In full disclosure, I received a review copy of the book before it's publication date. I connected with Elizabeth online through one of her forums a few years ago and I love her energy and message, so when I saw her book would be published I was very excited to read it!
I set aside a bit of reading time, then was so captivated with Elizabeth's writing style and way of sharing information - like we were having a conversation by the beach, and she was gifting me this reminder of all that my heart knows to be true - that I kept reading and an entire afternoon and evening passed!!! I kept feeling *yes!* and at times physically smiled as I read.
If the title 'Untame Yourself' sparks your curiosity and/or feels like an invitation to an adventure you'd love to experience, then this book is for you! What I love is that Elizabeth shares information - the logic and the energy in it - then either real-life examples from her personal life or client work as well as practices to use to learn to embody and create with these concepts.
I feel this book is meant to be read a few times: first for overall understanding, then again, slowly, to explore the practices and exercises that feel interesting, and that each time you read, something new will speak to you and invite you to open to newness in a different area of your life.
It's really quite a gift to give yourself!
Elizabeth will give you the confidence to take control by trusting your intuition, gaining self acceptance, allowing yourself to dream/desire and using your voice to get it!
Elizabeth's known for making anything EASY, as you will see in this book. Life's challenges will no longer be....challenging. I have seen many women get results with Elizabeth...and now you can too with her fabulous book!
The only thing her book is missing is her contagious, belly laugh-you will have to check out her amazing podcasts for that. Beware! They are addicting and will require hours for binge listening!
Untaming Yourself will not turn you into a wild animal.... it will, however, dissolve the layers of habits and behaviors that you might have taken on in your life because that was all you knew..... and since June of this year I have had experience after experience that acts as evidence that this is a paradigm shift worth exploring.... I have had to pick my jaw up off the floor after courageous conversations... and felt the absolute joy from putting my hand on my heart and truly listening. WARNING....untaming is not for the faint of heart.... but if you are the least bit curious, I encourage you to let Untame Yourself be your guide to self discovery.... enjoy YOUR journey!
If there's a singular message from this amazing work, this quote is it. Elizabeth tells a raw, personal, sensual, honest story about how she came to celebrate her own inner wildness. Here's the thing--we all have the same drive to untame ourselves. Especially in a world we've designed to tame us--on our own volition. Elizabeth's journey towards freedom and intimacy is beautiful--and the way she tells it reflects her own maturity and inspiration. Thank you Elizabeth!
