Untame Yourself is about bringing women home to themselves in a grounded, practical and inspirational way centered around the belief that, “Everything you’ve ever needed has always been inside of you." It’s about getting out of your head and into your body, creating better boundaries and using discernment. I write about not only relating to yourself in a more loving, peaceful and powerful way, but learning to communicate with others from a place of compassion with an open heart for more positive outcomes, greater intimacy, and deeper connection. Finally, the book also teaches you how to balance, integrate and harness the often unknown or misunderstood gifts in both your masculine and feminine energies. After being a personal trainer for years and teaching women how to work out, I realized the importance in my own life and that of clients of working in. That inspired me to create Wild Soul Movement in 2013. From there through my blog, a Facebook group with 3500+ members, YouTube videos, free online challenges, paid programs, courses, coaching, and a podcast, I became intimately familiar with the struggles of 21st century women. Some of those struggles include: - lack of trust, a need to control everything, and exerting an exhausting amount of force, effort and energy to make things happen all the time. - body images issues ranging from never feeling comfortable in your skin to intense eating disorders and chronic self-loathing. - terrible boundaries, incessant people pleasing, putting yourself last and the stress, resentment, low energy and even illness that comes with it. - highly unsatisfactory relationships in all categories, romantic, family, professional, and friendships. - shame, low-self-esteem and harboring secrets, or emotions you don’t feel safe to share with anyone—for fear of being judged, abandoned or labeled as “crazy”, “bitchy”, “high maintenance” or “needy.” We live in an odd time. Western women, especially, have every right and capability of western men and that’s confusing. We’ve been cultured and conditioned to behave, basically, like lovelier versions of men—which often leaves us burned out, resentful, stressed to the max, and sometimes, in identity crises, totally disconnected from our bodies, our souls, and the truth of of who we really are. Untame Yourself is the guidebook I wish I’d had several years ago when I began the process of awakening to who I really am and developing a personal relationship with my own femininity. I’ve filled its pages with practices, tools, advice and stories to help you have an easier, more graceful experience than I did. I also aim to save you the time of figuring much of it out as you go as I did, too.

Elizabeth DiAlto Untame Yourself
Through her experience as in the fitness industry and coaching women gain an understanding of feminine energy author Elizabeth DiAlto lays out a journey to experience a juicy rich life for the reader. There are pillars of a being a woman such as Connection and Trust and Receiving that just aren’t discussed in our patriarchal culture. Women have been trying by force to avoid or squelch their feminine energy mistakenly thinking that they this is the only model for success. Untame Yourself showed me that this is a myth worth busting.
I really enjoyed the fascinating stories of women overcoming old and dysfunctional paradigms and Elizabeth’s own story of transformation. There are wonderful exercises, practices and action steps throughout the book that I know I’ll come back to. I loved the chapter on embodiment. This is a word bandied about but rarely actually explained as well as this author did. Body shame is a serious problem with women and this book will have you examining and being mindful of the role of objectification of a woman’s body through Elizabeth’s personal and professional experiences.
There is something in here for every woman that is facing a transition in her life whether it be contemplation of a job or relationship status change or getting healthier or achieving a often dreamed of goal. I especially like how Elizabeth deconstructs eastern teachings such as mantras, and meditation and makes it accessible to all women

I first found Elizabeth DiAlto's work through her Wild Soul Movement program and it was like nothing I've ever experienced. It was like she was explaining the issues women are facing each and every day as if she were in my own head. So when I learned Elizabeth was writing a book I was very excited because she has so much wisdom to share and I learn well in the way she teaches.

I am reading Untame Yourself right now and it's everything I knew it would be. I am especially identifying with a chapter titled You Come First, which provides the powerful reminder that "you can't give what you don't have" and that it's not sustainable to always put yourself last and eventually those actions can manifest in health issues and more. Putting yourself first is actually how you can fully show up for the people you love.

The book also provides a simple morning ritual that takes only a few minutes and incorporates movement, breath, and some quick journaling on what is going great in your life and what you want more of in your life. I am going to try it for the next 30 days and see how it goes!

Thank you for writing this book, Elizabeth!

I can't say enough how much I love this book and this woman. She strikes that magical balance of reminding me of things I always knew and sharing insights that feel brand new. This text is the absolute embodiment in book form of what she lives, models, teaches, and shares. I've had the privilege of experiencing her work in many different ways over the past couple of years, and I am 100% a better woman and human for it. Once you start unraveling all the preconceived notions you didn't even realize you were operating under, the gentle firm force of it keeps building and flowing in the most beautiful of ways. THERE IS SO MUCH VALUE HERE - The insights, exercises, and practices contained herein are epic, life-changing, and so very liberating. The work isn't always easy, but Elizabeth imbues all she does, this book of course included, with a sense of fun, wonder, and love that makes anything feel possible. Because it is, you know ;) Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and if any of this speaks to your soul, DOWNLOAD THIS BOOK!

I really liked this book because I like what Elizabeth DiAlto has to say and what she does. However, I was upset with how this book read like a rambling blog post. That being said - it's a great resource for those that want to get a quick understanding of where they can begin on the journey of rediscovering their body. In addition, I can't really complain since it's such an affordable resource. I would just say that in the future, I would really love to see a book by Elizabeth DiAlto that doesn't feel like it was written in such a hurry.

5.0 out of 5 stars The cover of the book makes me want to let loose

Great title for a book that invites the reader to get to know themselves better, specifically their bodies. Embracing awareness, creating better boundaries, communicating with compassion and an open heart. Interesting concept of physically feeling a yes or no being in tune with your inner world. Love courageous conversation chapter. Interesting present day existence of women described as lovelier versions of men. Embracing power, honoring your sacred body and wild soul, results in freedom. Love the 2-3-4 morning ritual.

I just finished and I want to start reading it again straight away. This book is packed with wonderful advice, practises, stories and has it's own companion with worksheets, videos, audios, podcasts to throw yourself right in and start now. Start what? To untame yourself! After following Elizabeth on facebook and tapping into her podcasts from time to time, but never fully commited now the time was right for me to dive in and get some soul work done (again, because we're never finished!) and wow, Liz words and her world helps me so much. So excuse me, I'm off setting boundaries, taking care of myself and practising forgiving...because all this and much more you can learn from this wonderful woman/book!

I am in the process of reading this. It's truly amazing.

The wisdom in this book is extremely potent. I feel like it's power comes from the fact that Elisabeth embodies 100% of what she teaches, and therefore the teaching is effortless. As I read this book, "I just get it".

If you are anything like me, this book will truly be worth every minute you will spend reading it.
