Griffin has it all. The biggest and best money can buy and his sexy little wife and beautiful daughter and another child on the way. How could life be any better? He wants the spotlight. Playing bass guitar is good but he has always wanted to be the one on lead guitar. A little more recognition. At this part I thought Griffin is just being Griffin but he had a compromise ready and was turned down flat. As it was written I could actually feel his need . Things fall into place and he makes life altering decisions for his entire family. After awhile he begins to find out you don't always miss something until it is gone and fixing mistakes are .
Untamed is a great read. Griffin is transformed from a barely likeable character and makes him loveable. It has heart. This book is longer than I normally read but I barely noticed and was sad when it was over. I was on a rollercoaster of emotion throughout the whole book. No worry though, no matter how much Griffin changes he will never lose his sexy swagger. Great read. Great job S. C. Stephens.
I was so excited when I found out we were getting more Griffin a.k.a. “The Hulk”.
Love the D-Bags and have missed them. Griffin was awesome in this series with his free and don’t give a crap attitude of what you thought about him. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. With all that said, I was thoroughly surprised.
Griffin is the same as always just add a wife and a daughter to the mix. Things couldn’t be going better for the D-Bags and their families. That wasn’t good enough for Griffin; he felt he wasn’t getting his turn to shine. After talking to the band and being turned down numerous times he takes his dreams into his own hands. Which means moving away and trying something new. I loved Anna is this book. You really got to see how truly strong she is. She was always Griffin’s number one fan and stood by him no matter what. Their precious daughter Gibson was a perfect mix for the Hancock family. You never knew what was going to come out of her mouth.
“Well, there’s another one coming, so you better start preparing yourself.” Gibson groaned as she sat down on the confetti-strew floor. “Goddammit,” she muttered.
We got to know Griffin’s family and I feel in love with his sister. She gave good advice when needed and loved her family. His family was always they’re supporting him when he needed it. Through out this emotional journey there are lots of twist and turns. I kept hoping things were finally going to go Griffin’s way but something always seemed to happen. We see a side of Griffin we didn’t know existed. He realizes the true meaning of family but will it be too late to fix things.
“Mrs. Hancock…you are my best friend, my partner in crime, my reason for living, and the only thing that really matters to me. Forever only scratches the surface of how long I’ll love you.”
Are timeless books to me. These stories and characters have wedge their way into my heart.
But.... This book just was not what I was expecting at all.
I'm kind of sad how everything played out in his book.
All the characters I've read in past books... Just didn't seem the same to me. And I could not wrap my head around on how everything went down in this book.
I expected Griffin to be his over the top self like in past books.... But this book was just another Griffin.
Griffin acted like a self absorbed child in this book. That's the only way to best describe him. He blamed everyone and everything for all his problems. Never seeing that he was the one causing all the problems.
I'll be honest... As I kept reading.... I was hoping we would get some growth from his character.
And we did...
But it was after everything and it was towards the end. ( too late for me)
The way he was portrayed in this book... Was really hard to read for me. The author totally humiliated him degraded him and made him grovel.
The band members treated him as if he was less than a person. They also treated him like a child.
It was extremely sad to read.
This book had its moments with me and even though the band members were acting different. I loved reading about all of them in the epilogue.
And ....I loved Anna. She felt the same to me.
But this book overall was very hard and sad to read. I still love this author! And I will continue to read her books.
I just wished this book played out differently.
Griffin has been a character in more ways than one since the start of this series. The cockiness, the I don't care attitude. And I'm a rock star so suck it up people is what you have seen. But with this book being Griffin's story S.C. Has taken it to a whole other level. We see the struggles he has about feeling pushed into a corner and feeling not appreciated but what goes up most certainly must come down and it does in the biggest way.
Anna, has grown ten fold in this story and by being the responsible one in this relationship she stands by him through it all and can't be
More encouraging of his dreams.
Every relationship goes through ups and downs but this one comes down so far you wonder if
It can be saved. As time passes you see
How truly humble Griffin can be and needing his support system is amazing to watch.
I have loved this series from the beginning but this book is definitely the cherry on top of the sundae.
If you are a lover of romance, Rockstars, angst
And everything in between this is not only the book you don't want to miss it's the series you don't want to miss either.
