I loved this story that will lead up to WITH WHOM WE SPEND OUR LIVES. This is a short, page turning story that will suck you in and make you want more, so much more. Miles Mackenzie and Regina Richards have been separated for five long years, but the love is still there. In five years of complete separation, things happen that will greatly affect them now. While moving on, can you reach back into your past and still find the love? Lives change, situations change, but the heart holds on. This story leaves you needing to know more, it's a pleasant tease of more to come with witty dialog and heartwarming characters.

For being a short story, Until It's Not is pretty powerful. I didn't want it to end, and wanted to find out what happened to Gina and Miles. It all seemed so sad and leaves me wondering. Fortunately, Gina shows up in With Whom We Spend Our Lives as an older and maybe not wiser Aunt Dick. I curious if more of her story will be revealed, but am already invested in Harper and Cole's story which might have a parallel to that of Gina and Miles.

Although this is a short story, it felt like anything but. All of my senses were on high alert, in what I could only describe as a beautiful struggle.
I can tell that Author K.S. Thomas put so much heart into this short story, which translated into her characters and storyline. You could actually feel the deep, all encompassing love between Miles and Regina. A love that has endured, no matter how long the time and how far the distance. 'Until it's not' reminds you that there is no such thing as a simple love story, that it is, in fact, quite complex.
I'm looking forward to reading the companion novel, 'With Whom we Spend our Lives,' to see if love can truly find a way.
