This installment of the UNTIL series by Aurora Rose Reynolds was amazing. It had the perfect combination of sex, drama, love and loyalty.
The Mayson brother's are the whole package and completely swoon worthy. The UNTIL series is intense in the best way possible. They each were hard to put down. I binge read Until November, Until Trevor, Until Lilli and Until Nico. These are must reads!
If the kids’ stories were on kindle unlimited I’d probably read the rest. If these stories were better written or more correctly priced for the poor quality, I might pay to read more. As is, I’m done. I actually was ready to be done a couple of books ago, but decided to finish the brothers’ stories.
Author: I don’t know about other school districts, but the one where I worked (in the library) didn’t hire random people off the street. They were school district employees and were screened before being allowed to work around children. I have also never seen a completely empty school library. If you have the school district needs to work on that.
Author: the preview chapter for this book at the end of Cash’s story is messed up. Just an FYI so it can be fixed.
Sophia is a decent heroine but kind of weak. She trusts no one and lives a life in a bubble until Nico. Their meeting was my first pause. I felt Nico's initial reaction to her odd and unbelievable. Without pause he looks at her from top to bottom and as he leaves informs her they will be seeing more of each other. I know that doesn't sound odd but if you read this I think you'd understand. He attaches to her too fast. I have read and loved fsog but that story was just meant to be this one just felt like something was missing. When Nico disappears for his job we never go with him. There are many moments like this in this book that felt like there were gaps and needed more of a build up.
Another moment was while Nico was out on assignment he finds out someone broke into Sophia's house but we don't get to see this. We get filled in with a retelling to Nico. It made the story so flat. The villain was obvious and when he showed his true colors Sophia never remembered the incident when she receives a threatening letter. The actual unveiling of the villain did bring one surprise to light which was interesting but overall it had a lot of sex and a weak heroine. I would have liked her stronger as I do think her fears were too extreme. The desire to get pregnant so fast in their relationship was disturbing. It just drove me nuts and came a crossed as a young school girl fantasizing and scribbling names on their notebooks. I don't know maybe this was geared towards a younger audience but still.
The one last thing that bothered me was in the 1800's it was normal for a man to have experience and the lady was expected to be pure. This book is present day and the Hero made comments like before Sophia I would not hesitate having her when woman would flirt and throw themselves at Nico. A manwhore right but yet he'd make comments to Sophia like it's a good thing you never slept with anyone because I couldn't handle it. It bothered me that he had such a double standard in the time period the story took place. I would have liked to have seen him at least think to himself I wish it had just been her to touch me. He sees nothing wrong with all his past one night stands. It would made his obsession and his possessiveness seem more romantic and less creepy he showed some remorse about all his past affairs. The early," love at first sight" and other problems gave it a bit of immature vibe and while 3 stars rate my opinion it is teetering at the 2 1/2 star scale. Enjoy!

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Sophie and Nico's story. They meet when Nico finds Sophie's phone and they get together for him to return it. He knows instantly that Sophie is his "one", and starts a strong pursuit of her. There is some hesitation on her part, but he gets through to her with patience and care. There is some family and coworker drama, some sweet moments, and some sexy times...and they do get a HEA ending.
POV: This alternated between Sophie and Nico's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good. I never skimmed, and I thought it flowed well.
Instalove: Yes. It has the "boom" that supposedly happens with the men of the H's family when he finds his true love, and the H claims to have loved the h from first sight. The h takes a little longer to develop stronger feelings.
H rating: 4 stars. Nico. I liked him. He was hot, possessive, and a good combination of hard and sweet.
h rating: 3.5 stars. Sophie. I liked her quirky awkwardness, but her constant crying later on in the book got on my nerves.
Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed.
Heat level: Moderate/high. They have some hot scenes and chemistry, but I felt like it was used as filler at times and became too much.
Descriptive sex: Yes
OW/OM drama: Not in the usual sense
Sex scene with OW or OM: No
Closure: This had a cute (far) jump ahead epilogue with a HEA.
How I got it: I started with the audiobook with my scribed subscription, but ended up paying the $3.99 on Amazon for the ebook.
