Other than that, I loved this story, these characters, and the epically awesome resolution to the conflict! Joshua and Willard were perfect for each other. I thought that both men grew over the course of the book and, while I don't know how realistic it was for them to be sleuthing together, it made for a fun, exciting story.
I was given an ARC to review by the author.
This story is really well written, with believable characters and a plot which twists and turns as the attorneys build their cases.
Definitely a 5* read.
The romance between the two MC's felt almost tepid to me. It didn't draw me in and I had a hard time finishing this book.
Both Joshua and Willard have their moments of emotional immaturity, making it difficult for me to care about them.
There were also too many secondary characters, taking away the spotlight, so to speak, from Joshua and Willard, without adding much to the plot.
Most of the book centers around the court case, instead of focussing on the attraction and love that is supposed to grow between the protagonists.
It isn't badly written, but it didn't work for me.
