Monica is a woman with the weight of the world on her shoulders. She has a high stress, time consuming job that she takes very seriously and she doesn’t let loose very often. One night though, she decides to go out dancing. While on the dance floor, she has a seriously hot moment with a seriously sexy guy. Who she never expects to see again. Then one day, Monica is at work (she’s an ER physician and the director of the ER) and meets one of her new nurses. His name is Max. And he is the guy from the dance floor…
The sexual tension between Max and Monica is there and their chemistry is off the charts. It’s apparent they both want one another. Something is there between them. But how will they navigate it? Working together makes things hella complicated!
Untouchable is one of those books that pulls you in from the first chapter and never lets go. I loved both Monica and Max. Monica is strong willed an hard working. Max is caring, sweet, and sexy. I loved that the heroine was the older more successful boss in this book. It put a nice spin on the cliche troupe of workplace/forbidden love. I adored these two together. When they let themselves just be together, they were such a great match. And can I take a moment to talk about the heat in this book… *fans self*… For those of you that love steamy reads, one click this baby now!
Not only was this book filled with sexiness, it was emotional and laugh out loud funny at times. It had just enough angst and of course, forbidden love! I enjoyed Isabel’s writing style and I can’t wait for more in this series. I adored the secondary characters so knowing their books are next makes me super happy! I fell in love with this story and give it 5 stars!
I can't believe this is a debut novel. I absolutely am a sucker for the taboo/forbidden co-worker romance angle in a book and this particular book took a stereotypical situation and turned it on its head. The book had humor, heat and sexiness. I positively loved it.
I really enjoyed the characters in this book. I understood what Monica was feeling; trying to be true to herself and yet still try to hold on to her professionalism. Seeing her find her balance was incredibly satisfying. When she was having fun, I was having fun. When she was struggling I just wanted to help her out and talk her through it. She's the kind of person I'd want as a friend.
Max...well, Max made my book boyfriend list for sure. He's confident, funny, kind, sweet and holy hell is he sexy. There were moments I felt my kindle was going to melt-and I loved every one of those moments. I just loved him.
I loved this entire group of characters. Sometimes the secondary characters can get in the way of the storytelling but that is not the case here. They enhance Max and Monica's story instead of detracting from it.
I truly enjoyed this author's work and can't wait for the next book from her. I highly recommend Untouchable.
I normally don't give a debut a 5 star review. But this book and author blew me away!!!! It was so well written from the plot to the characters. It was a fun, sexy page turner.
I loved that it wasn't your typical rich man trying to take care of the poor girl struggling. Monica was a very independent woman and knew what she wanted. Max was a strong loving man and I loved seeing his vulnerability but he was still oh so sexy.
Even though this is a series there was no cliffhanger and it was told in the POV of both Monica and Max. I am super excited for book 2 and can't wait to see Isabel Love grow as an author. I have a feeling her books are going to be amazing and a one click from here on out.
