About the Author
Unveiling Lyme Disease is a well written and researched, plain talk patient guide to diagnosis, treatment, and day-to-day coping with the "great imitator", Lyme disease... her lessons will be helpful for the hundreds of thousands of others struggling with tick-borne and other chronic disease. I highly recommend this book.
--Dr. Richard I. Horowitz MD, medical director, Hudson Valley Healing Arts Center, author of How Can I Get Better? An Action Plan for Treating Resistant Lyme & Chronic Disease. Founding Member of ILADS
Lisa Dennys is about to take you on a journey that will change your life. Her genuineness asks us each to consider what lengths we are really willing to go, to become the "General Contractor" of our own health. This book is humbling and inspiring and should be mandatory reading for every human being.
--Lori Wilson, author of Demystifying...Medical Intuition, Founder of Inner Access 101
This work is accurate and refreshing as it flies in the face of traditional medical thinking and practice by showing the suffering individual and their families that there is a root cause to their chronic illness and, most of all, a path to true healing.
--Dr. Jess P. Armine, The Center for Bio-Individualized Medicine
Unveiling Lyme Disease provides valuable information to help prevent and avoid pitfalls that people with chronic illness commonly experience. I wish this book had been around years ago, to help me find my way through the darkness and into the light.

Lisa’s book is the help that anyone with debilitating symptoms can use to navigate through the medical system. Her story is probably not much different than yours if you are experiencing medical issues that constantly get undiagnosed or have been getting treated without getting better. Even if you don’t have Lyme disease, this book can help you get a diagnosis. She provides ways to maximize your daily functioning and daily and weekly living skills to help get you through it.
Just knowing that Lisa went through this and is better is the hope that I needed myself. It is sometimes just nice to know that you aren’t the only one going through something like this and that things will get better.
Courage to all who are going through the medical maze of diagnoses. Thank you, Lisa, for telling your story and for writing this book to help others. It sure helped me!
Lisa uses an easy style of writing that draws the reader in. In the first couple of pages you know the author ‘understands’ what you are going through and she may be the FIRST person you have had that does!
She shares her moving (and at times, heart-wrenching) life story and the struggle for diagnosis that spanned 30 years, giving the reader valuable insights that will save you time, money, aggravation, and suffering. Lisa has ‘done the work’ for us.
If you are wondering whether this book is for you . . this quote convinced me:
“This impact physically, emotionally, and financially for those with undiagnosed Lyme and their families, is brutal – and unnecessary. It happened to me, and it has impacted my husband, and every aspect of our life together for the past 30 years. I don’t want it to happen to you. I want to show you how you can save a lot of time, money, suffering and anguish. I want to show you that you can take the steps you will need to take, to find the root of your undiagnosed illness and to ultimately return to the kind of health and life you have been missing.”
. . and Lisa delivers on her promise.
I particularly liked how informative the book is with statistics, background, links, the breakdown of skills and steps to take. Helps you navigate efficiently through the process. This book is well laid out and easy to follow.
Talk about turning lemons into lemonade! Lisa took decades of frustration and pain and used it to positively influence the world . . to provide solutions.
This books provides something we all need in our lives to keep us going . . . hope and answers!
This quote from Chapter 5 sums up the benefit of reading this book: “It’s not your old life you are getting back, it’s a new one!”

In 'Unveiling Lyme Disease', Dennys puts vital information into the hands of those who need it the most - people possibly suffering from Lyme - so that they can take charge of getting their condition diagnosed and treated. This book is very timely!
Dennys' ability to weave the factual and the inspirational together in the pages of one book is unparalleled. If you or someone you know suffers the effects of a chronic illness such as MS, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, ALS, or others, then this book is a must-read!
Truth be told, I admit I had known even a tenth of what this book has taught me when dealing with my own father's diagnosis of chronic fatigue syndrome. To think that there were other things we could have done -- other paths we could have taken -- that may have saved us years and years of heartache and challenges...well, I know I cannot go back and change that, but there is a large part of me that wishes that I could.
Don't let my story be yours.
Get the help -- find the hope -- that Lisa Dennys' book offers. And do it now.
