I'm snatching up everything Webb writes and nothing has let me down yet. I loved this book, I read it in an afternoon. Abby doesn't want to fall in love, she's consumed with her career and a cover story on a small town hero is just what she needs for her career, and her personal life too, even though she doesn't know it. A great tale of growth and love, with just the right amount of fun!

First, I didn't finish so take that into account. A N.Y. writer goes to a small town to interview a hero for her magazine. Right off the bat she gets pulled out of her car, held at gunpoint and taken to a cabin where she is told to put on a slinky black slip. She is terrified thinking she is about to be killed and probably worse. She does try to say a mistake has been made but she doesn't really push her case. later we find out it wasn't a real gun, duh, and a game is being played out with her the stripper for the friends birthday party. Lots of apologies from good ole boys not meaning any harm, blah, blah, blah.

This gal is from the big city and she has a definitely lack of street smarts. she gets left to babysit twin heathens. they lock her in the pantry and raid the refrigerator. These are pre-school kids. I'm sure a lot would find this really funny, it wasn't to me. Just made her look stupid. Thirty years old and she can't control 2 kids? Sad, not funny. Anyway, I gave up. This one just isn't for me. I would have said I didn't like it, which I didn't but I am sure it is an ok read and that lots of others will enjoy it so don't want to discourage them. It just didn't work for me.

I like Debra Webbs style of writing usually, for I have read a lot of her
books. For me this was not one of her better ones. It rates more than a 3 due
to her character development, but it just didn't grab me and hold my interest like
her other books.

I have read quite a few of Debra Webbs books, but this one did not grab me. Quite boring and took a lot of will power to stay with it and finish it, which I only did as there was nothing else on a rainy day. Sorry, but not her best effort.

I love love stories. This is a story of a New York die hard and a small town hero. How they meet and how love grows and changes their lives. I like Debra Webb. She is a great story teller.

I love romance, but I dislike when you writers make females do stupid stuff. But since you gave me good romance. I will forgive you.

Not bad, not great. A lot of chemistry for the length - it got old after a while. The story was pretty predictable.

Somewhat predictable, but basically an OK book.
