* It starts counting down hours & minutes, switching to minutes & seconds under one hour
* Counts up as well
* Easy reset of the clock to zero
* Easy to add hours & minutes
* Easy start & stop of countdown
What it does not have:
* No clock means no traditional alarm
* Single countdown, not multiple
If these features are what you need, this is a great little timer. If not, don't buy it and then say its no good!
Now something that I DON'T want from a timer is an early warning system that is going to beep to "alert" me before the time runs out...I'm a light sleeper and I don't need any pre-alerts to wake up--I just need the thing to make noise when the time is up. It appears that this "warning" feature seems to be a common feature on many timers these days...ok, that's cool, but then list this feature in the item description so buyers know what they're getting and won't be surprised when it happens the first time they use the item. If I had bought this from a brick-and-mortar store, it would have been easy to return it for a refund and I could have purchased another; however, since this is not technically a defect with the item, it would cost almost the entire cost of the item to ship it back and get a refund. I'm learning the hard way that purchasing stuff on Amazon for convenience is not always such a good thing when there's a possibility of dissatisfaction with the purchase.
There are three ways to stand or hang this timer: There is a clip that lets you clip it to something that isn't too thick. At the bottom of the open clip, you can fold out a small metal piece that creates a stand, so you can place it on a flat surface. And if you slide the clip out (push toward the bottom of the timer), you can use the two magnets on the back to hang it on your fridge or other metal surface.
This timer does everything I bought it to do, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a basic timer.
WRONG, It boggles my mind to think that they could mess up something so simple. What's wrong? Here's a couple things:
-Buttons don't actuate correctly every time unless you press them REALLY hard and don't make a noise when pressed
-When the time remaining is under one hour, it's not capable of showing the time in Minutes:Seconds instead of Hour:MinuteMinute, this is a problem because the semicolon in the time indicator is the only way to know the timer is running
-Sometimes after I leave it alone I'll find it's been counting _up_ for no reason
