Very high quality for the money. I still need to further test performance, but basic results with the built in mike are very good. The mike screen and the black parts of the case seem to be made of metal. Other than the screen, the chrome parts seem to be made of plastic. the control and other markings are carved into the black metal case. Very well done for less than $50.00.

It didn't disappoint, the sound quality is excellent and the unit is well built. The inbuilt mics are very good and enable professional recordings to be made just with these. It is convenient and clear in every recording. It is a good size and the buttons are exactly where you need them. I like the ability to manually set the record level before you actually start recording.

The device arrived with a "used" look and feel. It is hard to describe it in detail, but if you have ever used electronic devices, you probably know what I am talking about. The instructions were hard to follow and in some cases lacked proper grammar and spelling. The menu is hard to read, and for the life of me, I still have no idea how the device should be charged, how to set system date and time, or do many other things having read the User Manual. The device IS NOT Mac-compatible which was a deal-breaker for me. Unfortunately I was unable to return it since the return window of 30 days had passed. I guess I will be donating it to our local GoodWill store.

Highly disappointed in the recording quality (tinny), lack of sensitivity of the record and stop buttons, size of the files (in WMA), and USB only transfer. Chose this product because it was an Amazon Choice over others at the same price point. The only reason I did not return this product was it got misplaced when I was doing my taxes and missed the return date.

I am impressed with this voice recorder. It is inexpensive, but records very well. I can record conversations across the room. While learning the operation of this recorder, I accidently put it in the wrong language. I contacted the company. The representative was very helpful. I did not receive a standard email; I received an email specifically addressing my problem. The directions were helpful. The video that came with the directions was great. The representative was even willing to make a custom video to help me return the language back to English. It was not necessary. I highly recommend this recorder.

Very nice for the price, doesn't feel cheap , buttons are smooth to the touch and easy to find because of their placement . Hours of record time and is easy to transfer to computer if need be. Good speakers and sound on playback. At this time can't see anything wrong with my purchase , so happy with it.

The product stopped working within 25 days. It initially cused some problems (not being sensed up by my computer, transferring files, etc) in the first hour after I received it. But it started working after further testing. Then, around day 25, it just showed format error on the screen. I could not retrieve any recordings I had on there, and now I can’t even record on it. I reached out the customer service center at Evistar, and received one email from them asking for my phone number so they can contact me. Since then, I have not heard anything from them, even when after I emailed them several times. I would not recommend any product from them. It’s cheaper than other quality recorders for a reason - it’s crap. I am not so worried that I lost my money, but I lost my recordings from lectures which were invaluable to me.
