Lou Dobbs has written in Upheaval the lessons of why AMERICA is, was, and will continue to be the Greatest Nation in the World.
The chapters are explained in detail and open the readers mind to events and happenings that reinforce the conservative thoughts
that are sometimes forgotten. As an elder citizen, the chapters remind me of the way the USA has been in the past and opens
avenues to restore many of the great events that have been deferred or forgotten. All of our citizens need to recall and live the
motto of our great country. "E Pluribus Unum". We must strive to remind all that by working together we will become more like the
past when we work to help one another.

I'm a Lou Dobbs fan and watch him nearly every evening. He's a real patriot and smart guy! This tape is easy listening, but it's much of the same information as what I have heard on TV. But, it doesn't hurt to hear it over and over! Lots of common sense.

I read portions of this book on my Kindle last night after appearing on Glenn Beck's program and before heading to church to see Mike Huckabee. So it was a very full day. Yet, I still grabbed and didn't put down Upheaval. Lou Dobbs is unafraid to share his view of the truth. So many major media personalities worry too much about what their colleagues will think about them and thus end up following the crowd. As demonstrated in Upheaval, Dobbs is not cowed. He tells his views on a variety of subjects using his chalkboard approach. I provided the "5 stars" based on my reading of chapters 3, 9, 10.

Of the topics he covers, four resonate deeply with me including the massive Federal debt, the flaws in our financial system, the economic espionage of China, and the bowing to Sharia. Based on research I did for the Pentagon, the information in my books (2012's Secret Weapon and 2014's Game Plan) and my 30+ years experience in the investing world working for and with people like Sir John Templeton, I can state that the four are intricately connected. Our debt makes us increasingly vulnerable and at the mercy of our sometimes allies, sometimes enemies in the Middle East and China. As long as we are good for it and buying goods and oil, America has remained a sometimes ally. But, as we become increasingly vulnerable due to overspending and overprinting, those one-time "allies" can quickly exploit our economic vulnerabilities. This can be done by financial market (exploiting the failures of the system) or cyber means but rest assured, it is coming.

Readers of Upheaval will get a good dose of common sense and insight to help prepare regarding these four areas. If enough read and heed the economic truths, American can even begin to address the looming problems. Ultimately, the solution is a spiritual one as our greed has blinded us to real truth.

Lou Dobbs presents each chapter in an honest and clear way in which the reader can wrap his arms around the subject.
I think people should read it before they go into the voting booth and pull the lever for their favorite candidate. I don't care which party you belong to, this book will open your eyes WIDE. Both parties are accused of…..well read on.
That is why I gave this book a 5 star.

In today’s world where very few will speak “truth-to-power” Lou takes on special interest/elites in both the Democrat and Republican Party. He cares deeply about the direction of our country, U.S. manufacturing, jobs, and the middle class. Something that the Republican Party only gives lip service to these days! If you are intellectually honest, and care about the direction of this country- I highly recommend you read this book. Great job Lou, please keep fighting for the American worker and the middle-class!

Lou Dobbs is a very credible Newscaster...His writing in Upheaval is clearly written out with understandable words and shocking truths about the conditions and times of this world we live in.. .our government is getting too big. It comes somewhat out of the unknown to perceive that the lifestyles most of us enjoy could easly be removed if we as a nation of people do not help restore the principles of self government. Yes, UPHEAVA is a must read to understand what could become a perilous future.

I read a lot of political commentary, and I think Lou Dobbs' book is the best one out there! He cuts right to the essence of numerous issues and is even-handed in his criticism of both political parties. Republicans, especially, should pay special attention to Dobb's suggestions concerning the next presidential election. Priceless info, dead-on commentary! I bought this book for my Kindle, but I think I'll buy a hardcover book to pass along to friends. Best book I've read in years!
