I read her articles and decided to get one of her books. She makes some sense out of life's difficult issues. She is theologically and biblically savvy and has gained spiritual maturity from her life's lessons.

After becoming nothing short of an Upside Down World blog junkie in less than a day, I knew I had to download this book. Not only is her writing style creative and magnetic, it's just flat REAL. She writes from an honest rawness deep in the recesses of the human mind that all of us have, we just can't quite articulate as well. She tackles some questions I knew I had and just never have been able to pull out of that place in my brain and get them anywhere in the general direction of my mouth. I'm mostly referring to the chapter called 'What to do if you find yourself in Hell' which is probably one of the most interesting things I've ever read. Whether you agree with her theological views or not, you'll have to admit it's some pretty, freaking cool stuff to think about. I do happen to follow her views actually and because of that could feel the presence of God tangibly as I read this book. I'm in a season of life right now that, for me, seems to be quite hell-ish and dark and so reading about the human-ness of Jesus spoke deeply to my crying soul. Not only did I enjoy this read, I NEEDED it. It was right on time for me. I recommended this to all my closest friends immediately which sparked some really interesting conversations after they read a little and I encourage you to do the same. It's inspired me to shed any facades I may have been inadvertently wearing as a "Christian" and start getting more real with my emotions (she's a genius at this), other people, and my God. Goes into my top 5 list for sure :). Maybe top 3.

First chapter on yoke of Christ was best. Other parts seemed to ramble. Parts that were in hand writing or of poems were so faint on the Kindle was unable to read.
