Using Microsoft Frontpage: Special Edition (Using ... (Que)) Paperback – July, 1996
From installing FrontPage97 to picking a server on which to deploy the finished results, Special Edition Using Microsoft FrontPage 97 has everything you'll need to know to build and manage your Web site or intranet. The chapters are arranged in a progressive fashion, leading the reader through each logical step of FrontPage's site-building process. You can use this book as a basic tutorial, although there are other books that may provide easier short-term help in getting started. And don't mistake Special Edition Using Microsoft FrontPage 97 as a simple lesson plan--it has enough in it to guarantee lasting value as both a reference source and a more advanced guide.

and programming, this Special Edition Using Microsoft Front Page was the most disappointing
book I've ever purchased from them. It's priced
in the upper range but doesn't even compete on par with the other books for novices. Over the 400 pages in the book, I'd estimate that 100 are just
trivial discussions about what HTML and Internet
basics are. The worst aspect of the book is its examples. Say, for example, you want to insert a
survey form in your web site. If you follow ANY of the examples in this book, you only get one-third of the process -- leaving the reader in the dark how to implement the other 2/3's of the process and make the programming successful. Save your money on this one.
-- Randy Forgaard, co-creator of FrontPage, co-founder of Vermeer Technologies, recently retired from Microsof
to get up and running with FrontPage quickly. Well laid out
and well written, short but informative and to the point,
Using FrontPage is a great way to begin creating well
designed and functional web pages.
