They say these are bleach proof. That’s the only reason I bought these towels. I have my own salon business and wanted something that stays looking nice. This towel was only used once. Not happy. UPDATE. I think they had sent me the wrong towels originally. They sent me a new batch and so far now bleach marks. They made it right so now I would definitely recommend these towels.

Wash & Dry a minimum of 3 times before using!

I read the warning from another reviewer about the tremendous amount of lint that comes off these towels. So I washed and dried all of them and was astounded by the amount of lint-WOW. It was in the washer too! I again re-washed and dryed them a second time, and still got an amazing amount of lint. The lint is so thick and dense, it actually looks like a towel! Three times a charm with these; the third batch of lint was less than half of first two cycles, so I am hoping its coming to an end. After 3 washes, a few towels took a little bit if a beating, as the stitching seemed to come loose, but still intact. The weight and thickness of the towels feel good, but only time will tell on colorfastness and quality.

Falling apart after one wash

I contacted the seller regarding replacing some of the towels that frayed up on the first washing. I never heard anything back I didn’t want to send all of them because not all of them came apart in the wash but a good amount did and I just thought they should replace them. They are soft and they are absorbent but they did not hold up very well after just one wash cycle so I can only imagine what they will look like after multiple wash cycles.

Not thin, not scratchy, not black, some ripped seams but all bleach safe, according to the tag.

These black salon hand-towels feel as thick and soft as any normal hand towel that you might buy at any place from Walmart to Kohl's. They don't look like a true black to me, more like a very dark navy. All of the tags say "bleach safe" but I haven't had a chance to test that yet. I did run them through a gentle cycle wash and tumble dry before I used them and out of the 24 hand towels that I ordered, six of them had ripped seams after the one pre-use cycle. That was disappointing. I messaged the seller to request a partial refund. If they issue the partial refund, then I would still consider this product a good value.
