Features: -100-1250c temperature range, 3 meters long, 13mm thread diameter, 10 cm probe Length thermocouple. A thermocouple is a device consisting of two different conductors (usually metal alloys) that produce a voltage proportional to a temperature difference between either end of the pair of conductors. They are widely used in the field of industry, agriculture, chemical and other automated temperature controlling. K Type thermocouple with flexible spring built in. 2 fork terminals for easy connection. Temperature measurement range is from -100 Celsius to 1250 Celsius degree.

The enclosure frays a bit, so that's why it's only 4 stars instead of 5, but it's not a huge deal. It was probably just a rare defect.
The thread size is so weird. It's difficult to find other probes with the same size.
This thermocouple was very accurate, measuring known things such as ice water (mostly ice, little water) at 32-33F, as well as matching the thermocouple-driven thermometer originally on the kiln for higher temps.
If I needed to control higher temperatures (2000F / 1100C) then a ceramic-coated thermocouple would be more appropriate.
Delivery was lengthy but coming from Hong Kong it was reasonable,
Price was great.
I would buy this again if needed.
