I regularly purchase the Velcro One Wrap Brand from the big box stores in a five pack at $.70 for each tie or $3.50 for the pack. When I saw the same brand on Amazon for $.08 for each tie, I was one happy repair guy. Upon arrival, it's obvious that this is not the same product. The strap itself is much less thick and not as "grippy." As you know, Velcro is a "hook and loop" closure, and the "loop" portion (the side that feels fuzzy) is extremely thin on this product. I had assumed that the "Thin Strap" in the name referred to the width of the tie, but it's the thickness. So they still close, but they're just not as robust. I'll end up keeping these thin straps due to the low price, but I'll still stock the hardware store's heavy-duty version for well... heavy duty jobs. The photos below show the delivered Amazon product, the Hardware store product and photos of the two varieties of straps. I specifically needed a Velcro tie wrap that was at least 8" long. This product was listed as 8 in X 1/2 inch Thin wrap Ties. When I opened the package I thought they looked too short As you can see in the photo , they are less than 6" long. This product is useless for my my needs and will be returned..

I bought these as I recently ran out of similarly sized Velcro cable ties that I bought many years ago. These are also much better in most cases than those nylon zip ties because they can be reused easily whereas zip ties are more of a single use type of deal (albeit much stronger). While those zip ones certain have their use due to their strengths, in general these Velcro ones are more useful in and around the house.
They came in 4 rolls of 25 ties each. Keep in mind that each of the cable ties is still-connected to one another as opposed to 'pre-cut' so you will need to break them apart yourself - don't just pull them apart with brute force or else you will break them; just gently tear them apart along the seam.
The width and length is almost perfect for cables from most of the electronics and computer related devices. Although these measured 20 x 1.2cm (8 x 0.5 inch), the REAL useable length is only about 17.5 cm (6.8 inch) which translates to approximately a circle 5.5 cm (2.1 inch) in diameter. As such, you will likely have a difficult time properly/permanently securing anything larger than this diameter. Of course, you could always multiple ties together to form a longer one that suits your needs.
In comparison to many others (Velcro brands or otherwise) I've used in the past, these have much shorter and smaller loops and hooks; however, that's not to say these aren't good. As a matter of fact, they are sufficiently strong under most circumstances that I've tried. Though, due to their shorter hooks/loops, their relative strength when pulled vertically (i.e. parallel to the orientation of the hooks) is rather weak. If they are pulled horizontally (i.e. perpendicular to the orientation of the hooks); however, they are sufficiently strong in most cases (as shown in the video).
Note that these will likely NOT work well in a server room environment due to their shorter length (and shorter hooks/loops) incapable of properly securing bulky cables of server grade devices and equipment.
