The one gripe I have with this kit is that it is missing characters of the alphabet for the printing wheel. The box just has repetition characters for numbers and EXP, etc, but if you want to print anything other than the expiration date, lot code, or date, you're out of luck. Some wheel kits have a full alphabet. Otherwise, this machine seems to be a good value for the money and offers features other units seem to lack like the bag counter. Weighing it all, I'd still choose this one over others.

Edit: Knocking this down a peg from original 4 stars. The bag counter is worthless, the sensor reads when it closes rather than opens. Because the sensor is sketchy internally, it doesn't always recognize when it's closed and has an odd hover point where it will read bags that never happened. So far, bag sealer works OK with 4-4.5 mylar bags at 170C setting. The 4 to 4.5 mil is what my one-side bag thickness is, the manufacturer calls them 7.5mil, my calipers say otherwise. That has nothing to do with the sealer, just being clear about the settings, type, and real thickness of what I'm sealing. One other point, some manufacturers use hex screws that are less likely to strip, the user adjustments on this unit are phillips head screws, hopefully that won't be an issue, but it could present a problem if frequent adjustments are needed.

This machine just stopped working after 3 months of use. This is the 2nd machine we've purchased and it seems like the shelf life on these things is about 3 months. If you do wind up buying this, make sure you buy the Asurion claim protection plan because they'll refund the entire purchase price and you get to use it for free for 3 months but you have to deal with returning it.

I have 3 of this machines, they don’t last a lot and that’s the reason I got the 3 one but is no heating and when I turn it on, it was smoke coming out of the machine… I had the warranty so will see how the return turns out… 😭😭😭
