The Complete Console Gaming Experience
Built for the optimal console gaming and eSports experience, the 24” ASUS VG245H Full HD gaming monitor features an ultra-fast 1ms response time and 75Hz refresh rate. It also has GameFast Input Technology along with two low input lag HDMI ports, allowing you to enjoy super smooth visuals, and keep it hooked up to two devices.
GameFast Input Technology – because every millisecond counts
The ASUS VG245H features GameFast Input Technology to minimize input lag, allowing you to take full advantage of superior reaction times for better combos and in-game effects.
Dual HDMI flexible connectivity
Dual HDMI ports allow you to connect your game console and another HDMI device at the same time - there will be no need to frequently plug and change your connection. Furthermore, a smart cable management design found on the stand of the VG245H helps you organize and hide cables to keep your gaming area tidy.
Super smooth visuals with AMD FreeSync
Maintain the upper hand in first person shooters, racing, real-time strategy and various eSports titles with AMD FreeSync technology to eliminate screen tearing and choppy frame rates to give you seamless visuals and smooth gameplay.
ASUS-exclusive GamePlus and GameVisual technology
The ASUS VG245H features the ASUS-exclusive GamePlus hotkey to give you in-game enhancements that help you get more out of your game. In addition, ASUS GameVisual Technology has six pre-set display modes to optimize visuals for different types of content. This unique feature can be easily accessed through a hotkey or the On Screen Display (OSD) settings menu.
ASUS EyeCare: Low Blue Light Filter
The VG245H is designed for marathon gaming sessions. Its ergonomically designed stand lets you find your ideal viewing position.
Additionally, blue light from monitors may cause eye damage, strains, headaches and sleep disorders. To combat this, the latest ASUS Low Blue Light Monitors feature an OSD menu that allows you to access four different Blue Light Filter settings onscreen for standard to dimly-lit environments.
ASUS EyeCare: Flicker-Free Technology
Flicker, rapid changes in light intensity, causes the pupil to expand and contract, thereby causing eye fatigue, strain and headaches with extended usage.
ASUS Flicker-Free technology uses Smart Dynamic Backlight Adjustment to avoid low brightness levels that lead to high-speed LED backlight flickering.
Complete Your Setup
ROG Bezel-Free Kit is an accessory that enables gamers with multiple-monitor setups to visually eliminate the gaps where their displays connect, creating the appearance of one extra-large wraparound monitor for a totally immersive gameplay experience.

Before this, I gamed on my family's 72" Samsung TV. I did a bit of research and I believe the input lag was something around 78.9ms. This is around 7-9ms (it's advertised as 1ms, but you have to consider actual lag from the console to the monitor). I pulled it out of the box and it took maybe 30 minutes for me to figure out all the settings and get the brightness and balancing and things set up. I plugged in my Xbox 360 (yes, 360, screw the Xbox One), and started playing. I didn't notice a difference from the TV I was used to. I played quite a bit, and more of my shots started to hit and my movement felt a little better, but I chalked that up to a placebo effect.
Then, I went back home for the holidays, taking my 360 with me and plugging it back into the 72" Samsung I mentioned earlier. GOOD LORD. It was unplayable. I noticed the input lag as soon as I was at the main menu of Destiny. I played two doubles matches with a friend on Destiny and could barely move or shoot accurately. It felt like I was moving through jell-o. I gave up playing over break after that.
I go back to college on my ASUS, and low and behold, everything was perfect. Unnoticeable input lag, and movement and shooting was back to being crisp and precise. It was then that I noticed just how much of a difference this monitor makes. After that, I played lots of competitive matches and worked to improve as much as I could. When playing sweats on Destiny, I was making plays and hitting shots that wouldn't have been possible in a million years on a 72". I went from an above-average player to one of the top current ranked Destiny players in the world (currently fluctuating between #1 and #2, thanks to clanmates).
Is this monitor magical? No. If you're a bad player, you're not going to magically get better with this monitor. But if you're like me, play on a semi-competitive level, you're a well above-average player, and want a good gaming monitor to maximize your performance, go with this. I know BenQ and ASUS are both very good for competitive FPS monitors, and to be honest, I'm not an expert on monitors so I can't say which is better. But I can say that I am more than pleased with this monitor.
TL;DR: No problems, beautiful picture quality, near non-existent input lag, and simple user interface make this, in my opinion, one of the best gaming monitors you can get for under $200. I have absolutely no complaints thus far (three months into owning it; I will update if any problems arise). HIGHLY recommend.
The monitors are easy to mount and setup. They come with everything you need to hook them up with any console. I limited myself to 60hz on the PC because I use HDMI cable. I might use the Display Port in the future just to test out the 75hz and see if there is any noticeable difference.
The two speakers are nice to have but they are not that great. They are very handy if you're watching a quick YouTube video or something similar. But I use headphones if I want to watch a movie or a sports game.
I highly recommend this monitor.. You won't regret this purchase.

I recommend this to console gamers
-A great buy for the price.
-Great for gaming, particularly retro gaming. Note that response time and input response time are TOTALLY different. The input response time is 10ms; however, 10ms is a good thing, it's one of the lowest input response times available!
-Colour accuracy can be improved using custom colour profiles in Windows
-Lots of ports: 1 VGA, 2 HDMI, and 1 DisplayPort
-The stand is fantastic, easily adjustable up and down, tilt, pivot, and 2-way rotation between landscape and portrait (one of the top reviewers on here claimed that they couldn't rotate the screen, which is not true at all).
-Pretty good for web browsing and reading, but white backgrounds really make the bad viewing angles stand out
-Space efficiency: when I went from my old 24" to this 27", I actually gained desk space (but my old Dynex monitor/TV was bulky)
-The TN (twisted Nematic) display is what I expected: the viewing angles aren't the greatest, glare can be bad, and color accuracy isn't great but can be improved.
-The UI has a lot of features that I'd never use, I have it set to Racing Mode and I don't ever plan to change it because it looks the most colour accurate
-The speakers make tin cans sound good (but I'll never use them anyway so makes no difference to me)
Note: I was unable to test the Free Sync/Adaptive Sync feature because my aging video card doesn't support it.
All in all this monitor is a great product for the price, I'd highly recommend it to someone on a budget, especially if you're coming from a cheap and ancient monitor like I was and you're really into retro gaming (or gaming in general). I was worried that 27" might be too big, and I could understand how for some that may be the case, but I have no regrets.
