The GN35DA features an UWFHD (2560x1080p) resolution that not only delivers pin-sharp images. It also creates a wider workspace, giving you 33% more horizontal screen real estate than standard full-HD monitors. The extra space gives you more room for better multitasking. And with the dual-input PIP/PBP, multitasking couldn’t be easier. Connect a PC and a laptop. Access a home security camera in PIP mode. Any device with HDMI, DP or DVI ports can be connected to the GN35DA and used with convenient split-screen viewing.
Eye-health is extremely important. That’s why we engineered the GN35DA to minimize visual imperfections that can get in the way of your work, movie or game. The anti-glare treated VA panel reduces light reflection on the screen without washing out the color. For those extended gaming sessions, activate low blue light mode to filter out even more harmful blue light and keep eye fatigue at bay. More than just eye-candy, the GN35DA is a serious beast with serious specs.
Stunning Color Precision
Experience brilliant image performance right out of the box. The VA panel features a wide 96% sRGB color gamut that renders colors with true-to-life accuracy.

Be warned, this monitor is HUGE, (one of the reasons I bought it) the 144hz refresh rate means I can see myself getting killed in game with more clarity than ever before (I'm just getting into gaming so.. skills) I like the LED lighting on the back, seems to have the same affect as the LED lights on my television, relieves some of my eye strain, and makes the monitor "blend in" better with the room, rather than being a bright glare in the middle of the wall. I started out with this monitor sitting on my desk, but due to the size of the monitor combined with the size of the stand (Once again, HUGE, to support this giant monitor) I moved to a VESA mount on the wall behind my desk. At my normal sitting position, for the first time in my life, I find myself too close to the monitor.
I'm really enjoying the wide format real estate, along with what seems to be a perfect curve, that doesn't require me to turn my head in order to see my monitor.
All in all, I love, Love, LOVE this purchase and, for the money it is well worth it. I'm planning to buy another soon because: who doesn't need two monitors?
I'm going to list the cons first because it's the reason I'm giving this 3 stars
- Quality control, quality control, quality control. Both Viotek monitors have had 4 or 5 dead or stuck pixels. I don't know if that's just their standard to let those pass QC or what. But that many bad pixels is just not acceptable.
- Small con but stand could have a little more movement options. Up and down was there but limited.
- I thought the color and picture quality were excellent. I'd compare the color/picture quite favorably to my Benq BL3200PT which is a factory calibrated monitor. I've always used the Benq as a benchmark on other monitors I buy.
- Didn't notice any ghosting but I own 2 other VA monitors so I'm probably not too sensitive to it
- 144 hz is amazing if you can get a game to run that high. My 980 TI at 1440P had trouble on most games trying to do that
- Pretty much no light bleed
- I didn't find the stand that large like others have mentioned. It's big enough to hold up a 32 inch monitor but didn't think it was any bigger than it needed to be.
- Assembly was fairly easy but fully assembled in the box would be better
- Back of the monitor appearance is a little tacky but my desk is in a corner so I'd never see it again
- In the end I returned it.. I just can't deal with 5 dead/stuck pixels staring me in the face after spending 540.00 on it
Most of the information I found was about the first version of this monitor the GN32Q. Unlike the GN32Q which has a gold stand and backing the GN32LD is dark grey with red accents which appear on many mainstream gaming monitors today. Set up was extremely easy as Viotek supplies you with everything you would need to set up the monitor for the first time. It does come with a DP cable and adaptor screws for a Vesa mount. These screws extend just beyond the back of the panel so that when you attach the mount the plate isn't touching or damaging the back of the monitor.
The image is a little warm straight out of the box. The panel comes preloaded with a couple of profiles but you will want to take the time to color balance the monitor yourself. It's definitely worth your time. The image you'll get is gorgeous. With the DP cable windows automatically recognized the display in it’s native resolution of 1440p and all I needed to do was select 144hz under the device options. The monitor also has an option for PbP as well as PiP. Game play is amazing with everything running at or just shy of max settings with an average fps of 100+ with liquid smooth action on screen. Even just working on your desktop there is no way to fully appreciate the difference running at 144hz makes with every visual element in Windows.
There are just a couple of small drawbacks. One is the stand. Its bulk is a trade off given that it has to support a 32 inch monitor. With that said, I would have liked to have seen more positioning options. You have a relatively limited range of up and down and tilt but no side to side swivel. Also, since the monitor is mounted to a tripod it takes up a significant amount of space on your desk. My desk is 23 inches deep and that tripod is taking up 14.5 inches of real estate. I've ordered a mounting arm and will be installing it soon. The other note are the RGB lights on the back. They work as expected but do not put out enough ambient light to be seen anywhere other than from the back of the monitor. I've had the lights in my room shut off and I couldn't tell they were on without turning the monitor to the side to look. But again that's just an observation and doesn't impact the monitor's performance in any way.
Hands down this monitor falls into my top five monitors I've purchased in the last 10 years and if I were honest I'd probably drop it in the number one slot. If you've come this far then you've spent too much time reading...this monitor is wonderful just go buy it!
To say the least, this monitor is amazing. Its a beautiful 1440p 144hz VA Panel, a huge upgrade from my old 1440p/144 TN panel. Im upgrading from a 27", and its a beauty. I thought 32" would be to big but its the perfect size, especially with the curved panel, it just looks amazing, feels amazing, games look and play amazing, and you still cant see any pixels. The freesync range is 30-144 which is also amazing. Vega 64 runs this beast perfectly. Cool lights on the back although they arent the brightest. Height adjustment is great along with tilt. All in all, this monitor is amazing especially for a ~$500 price point, they also make a widescreen 34" 1440/100hz monitor that also looks amazing, but Im not big into 21:9 aspect ratio. I would recommend this monitor to anyone who may want to upgrade to a 32" screen.
Top reviews from other countries
Nevertheless the construction quality is horrible, I can clearly see backlight seeping through the edges of screen.
The case is so poor, that when the monitor is cool, and when you turn it on and let it heat up naturally, it makes all those thermal expansion sounds its like its breaking itself. And when you turn off the monitor and go to sleep, I can hear those thermal shrinking sounds almost up to 2 hours, which are really loud. The performance is really good from this monitor, but built quality is unbelievably bad.
If you want to buy it, it depends on your needs. Its definitely a good monitor, but I doubt its safe to mount it on a wall.
Note: If your box looks open, and doesn't have the two straps to hold it closed, return it and buy another!
Aside from the hiccup in the beginning the monitor works as advertised and looks AMAZING on a wall mount. Happy buying!
