Category 6 cable, commonly referred to as Cat6, is a cable standard for Gigabit Ethernet and other network protocols. Won’t certify at Cat6 or even Cat5e....trash

I’m a professional low voltage cabling installer and have been in the field for over 25 years. This is by far the worst cable I have ever used. Pulls fine out of the box but none of the cables I installed will certify at cat6. They won’t even certify at Cat5e. I was able to get 4 pieces that were 28ft to pass but just barely. We used Superior Cat6 panels and Hubble Cat6 jacks. Even Cat6 mod ends wouldn’t pass. Had to replace all the cable with Home Depot’s Southwire Cat6 and everything passed. Trying this cable cost my about $3000 dollars in labor and materials. Avoid this garbage.

I purchased this primarily for a 70' run around my den through cable sleeves, no hard angles or pinch points. Relatively straightforward.

I made a 2' patch cable for speed testing and got gigabit speeds but with a high degree of variability. I don't have a cable tester and was using an old laptop with an HDD for network speed testing and attributed it to that. I was also three switches and a long existing CAT6 run removed from my NAS, but I was seeing theoretical peak speeds for gigabit networks.

I ran the 70' run and the router isn't even recognizing a gigabit connection. Windows showing up as 100/100 network speeds, tested two different computers on the other end of the run. Not even getting true 100/100 speeds; the signal loss is incredible for such a simple run.

Don't buy this cable for long runs. I planned to use the remainder to standardize all of my patch cables throughout my house, and I wouldn't even use it for that. I'm going to try to return it. My only saving grace is I ran it through cable sleeves and not through the walls. The price was too good to be true; I attributed it to the 250' length. I should have paid more attention to the reviews.

I just ran a 170 feet of this stuff and I am seeing better download speeds from it than a PC using cat 5 sitting less than 5 feet from the main switch.
I pulled this cord around some pretty hard turns and bends, and a seriously tight hole in concrete, and a couple of times I was worried I had over done it, but nope, the cord held up.
My only complaint is that the cord has a tendency to kink up when pulling out of the box. I would give it 4.5 stars, if I could as it was a minor issue.

For those still shopping for cables, be sure that you aren't comparing this to CCA (copper clad aluminum) cables. They are drastically different products. If you need a long run or have tight corners DO NOT use CCA. CCA is also not rated for POE (power over ethernet). If another cable is cheaper, but does not say if it is CCA or not, then it's probably CCA.

Buyer beware, this is not cat6! Ran this cable for an AP and only getting 100 Mbps. Cut another cable to test, same results. Tried to my laptop, same results.

Happy overall. Ran 250ft through smurf tubes (in wall) and some rigid condiut) outdoor burial. All went smoothly.

Only had to redo one termination and that's probably just me being unskilled with a punchdown tool.

Surprisingly I managed to get 4 of these cat 6 in parallel with1 rg6 in a 3/4 smurf tube. Note, It was a short distance with just one 90 degree bend and no POE, but I was fully expecting it to jam and have to run parallel conduit instead.

I was excited to find a solid copper (rather than CCA) cat-6 bulk cable in less than 500' boxes. I have been adding cat-6 cabling to my home and needed to make a few runs to my outdoor CCTV cameras. I like having the flexibility to make the cables the exact length I need them to be. It's so much easier to pull without the ends on the cable. This cable is easy to work with, it goes around corners and through conduit well. I have zero complaints about it. I haven't always been really gentle when pulling this cable, and not once have I had a cable related fault. If I need more this is the product I will buy.

Can't recommend, hell can't even use it. No pictures show that there is a filer inside which is really annoying to deal with. But even that, after making it, and testing it, I can only get 10mbps out of it. Ok, maybe I messed up, try it again.....then nothing.....ok, try again....10mbps. I've tried several times and I either get nothing, or only 10mbps. I'm going to run out of cable at this rate. During this I also noticed it kinks really easily and the wires themselves bend very easily (making it difficult to get into the cap). Can't seem to get past 10mbps/kinks very easily/wires bend very easily/has annoying center filer.....can't recommend this.

I just received the cable the other day. I pulled 2 runs and the cable was very easy to work with and did not bind up. The cable is a little thicker than CAT5 / 5E cable and that may be because of the plastic twisted pair divider that runs down the center of the cable. The divider didn't really affect crimping ends on the cables which was a concern. I ran some speed test after installing the cable and I am getting great results. I would definitely recommend this cable.

Not Cat6, maybe sufficient for patch cables

This cable is definitely not to CAT6 standards. on a test length < 3ft the cable performs slightly worse than standard CAT5e (maybe 10-15% worse) but this would be sufficient for my needs. The cable does have the inner separator like CAT6, but it's performance has me doubting. On a 25ft run, the performance degraded to be at least 99% worse than my CAT5e. For example, my CAT5e runs are closer to 50ft and I was able to run 300MBs stable, The best I had on this cable over the 25ft was 4MBs. Very disappointed and the description is quite misleading. I highly doubt that this cable would suffice for anywhere close to Gigabit in any scenario.

I just received this cable today and in the first 5 feet, I found the blue wire appears to be spliced. I’ve never seen something like this before and I don’t think this is normal.

I bought this pull box to make up some patch cables for my home network. I had no trouble making up cables and I have one of those cheap crimpers, and still made good cables. A cable tester is an absolute necessity whenever making ethernet cables. After every cable I make, it gets tested before being used.

Cat5e is easier to work with, but I had no issues with this Cat6 cable.👍

One of the few full-copper options on Amazon. DON'T buy copper clad aluminum. Almost nothing is approved to use CCA. It'll save you $20 now, but cost you much more when it doesn't work. This stuff costs more, but will save you money when the wires don't break and your signal isn't impeded.

The design of this cable is not that great when u pull the spool the cable gets stuck a lot. Trying to run 2k of cable was very difficult. What i suggest is improving the design by removing the center plastic and making the cable smoother.

Edit:Do Not Buy professional cable tester says theres not enough twists in the cable and its causing cross talk and noise bad cable guys.
