This was a very simple product to construct and mount to your desk out of the box. What I have mounted to this are both my 27in AOC i2757Fh monitors (bottom) and my 27in HP 27xi (top) via VESA mount adapters (sold separately). That's a whole lot of real-estate you're working with there buddy! That's right, I'm working with three different 27in monitors and the only reason why I knocked off a star for this product review is due to the main pole being short one or two inches. As seen in the photos, I'm working in a very tight-nit space where every inch matters (size does matter in this case), you can see the top monitors arm sitting slightly above where the pole actually ends and this causes part of my HP's screen to get cut off by my two AOC monitors. Yes, this would have been the perfect set-up had it not been for those meddling kids! Oops, wrong scenerio, but you can see in one of the photos that it's physically impossible to lower my two bottom mounted monitors due to raised part of the desk (wamp wamp wamp). So if you have a flat desk, I'd wholeheartedly envy you and recommend this VESA mount to you at the same time. I have zero issue with screen wobble and the included tools and accessories are MORE than enough for setting this mount up (minus where I had to use a screwdriver for attaching the vesa mount adapter to my monitors and the mount itself). Not sure how I feel about the quality of the cable management tie downs that are fairly easy to pop out, but at least they comfortably shroud all seven of the wires running down it. When tightening the monitor swivels, remember to slightly tighten them before mounting your monitors, it'll make your life a little easier.
All-in-all this is a very nice and would recommend this VESA mount to anyone that has 2+ monitors and wants to keep their desk space looking clean *cough cough* I didn't say my cable management was on point yet, as you can see in the video. Oh right, I chose this mount because I don't care much for the overpriced and rugged free standing mounts that have three arms stemming from one spot. It also wasn't practical for my space. Why buy something maybe double or four times the price of something that's already very practical?
Why do I have my monitors angled? Because I stream and sit x-feet away from my monitor (explains why I'm blind) and need to see my secondary screen next to it while I game. Have you ever tried looking at two 27in screens side-by-side to each other from three feet away? It's quite difficult seeing everything. Anywho, if you have any questions feel free to post them and I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible.
I had to take off one star because the screw holes where you put the clamp together had so much paint in them that I had a very difficult time getting it completely together. In fact only one of the two screws is completely seated. The other one is as far as I could get it (the back of the screw is flush with the back of the inner plate, and it has about a 1/8" of thread on the front showing still), but it was so gnarly it ended up stripping out the hex head from shear force (which is damn tough on properly seated a hex head). Still even without the second screw completely seated I know that it isn't going to affect the stability of the clamp at all (because that screw is not going to move).
Worst of all. the bottom plate for the grommet installation was tiny and only suitable for use with a 1.5 inch or smaller grommet hole. I had a 2 inch grommet so if it slid at all the pole would fall. Also since the top grommet plate was not secured to the pole, the whole thing would wiggle no matter how tight I secured it.
I had to switch my set up to using this with the clamp and it seems stable with it that way but I still had a night mare of it falling. Also there is a thick collar between the two poles to connect the poles which happens to be exactly the height I wanted the dual monitor portion to be at.
I don't know if I just received an older version of this product, but it was not designed to the same quality as the other VIVO mounts that I have previously used.
Works as intended
It's a lot sturdier than I thought it was going to be for the price.
Instructions are straight forward.
Con: This one is the one that got one star taken off
The mounting is a pain somewhat you need to mount both monitors onto the bar first then put it on the pole. You can't install the bar first then just latch on the monitors like other installs. I was not expecting that and it's kind of annoying. Especially when you are doing it by yourself.
So please have someone help you mount these it would make your life easier.
