I followed the directions exactly and almost finish. when i assembled the handle, it did not go in or come out and the bolt is stuck in halfway because of the wrong manual. manual says i need 'P type bolt' which is robertson so i put 'P type bolt but i found out that i need phillips bolt for handle. now i can't even disassemble it and I can't even return it because I can't take the bolt out! Also one of the robertson bolt's hole is blocked so i cannot put the water cup tight also. what am I supposed to do?

My intentions for this cage is to bring my red lored Amazon outside with me and to go to vet and boarding when needed. She is about 13” from head to tail and has enough room to move around. I had a small dog kennel fashioned with perches but she hated that, I’m pretty sure it’s due to how enclosed it was. This cage was not hard to put together and I didn’t even need the instructions. The only complaint I have, which really isn’t a complaint because it might be ok for smaller birds is the rope perch is a small diameter and the height of the bowls, would make more sense for the bowls to be a bit lower. I purchased the wood perch just in case and I’m glad I did, it fits perfectly. This cage weighs about 15 pounds but it is all metal and pretty sturdy. So far getting her used to this cage was a breeze because it’s very similar to her normal cage just a lot smaller. I was going between this one and one of those plastic cages and I’m glad I went with this one, she has a more open view and gets fresh air in this. Delivery was fast and I am pleased with it.

The worst and most disappointing part is that the cut-outs don’t match up!! I saw this in one review but was hopeful this wouldn’t be our luck. You’ll see the photos attached that we couldn’t properly assemble the latches for the food because there is no possible way the screw would fit. So irritating. Worth nearly $80? No :( Not enough quality control in my opinion..
