Several months:Fan has run 24/7 for several months without any issues. It’s being use to exhaust 110F air from bitcoin mining. It’s reallynhard to install due to bracket decisions they made, but the product has lasted a while and performs well so I upgraded from 1 star to 4 Star. I’d give it 5 stars if the bracket was easier to manipulate.Old review:Fan bracket is nearly impossible to install. You have to attach the bracket to the fan first which begs he question if it should be called a bracket. After which you have to use a nut and bolt to hold it or else have tre worlds to tiniest drill to fit between the fan and what you are attaching it too. Oh btw they didn’t include a $0.20 nut and bolt with it so you’ll have to goto a hardware store.I attached a photo of the bracket(fan attachment) so you can see. The middle two screws were included and have to be attached to the fan first. Note the outer two nut holes at the ends. The fan is literally wider than the bracket so good luck trying to put a bolt straight through the bracket while your holding the fan. The engineer who designed this must’ve had telepathy and just used it to hold the huge heavy fan while spinning bolts with his mind. Clearly making the bracket 6” wider would have been too hard or better yet a bracket you can mount to the wall first then have an easy way to attach the fan.

This fan served me well for 6 years. It started making sounds all you need to do is take the hoses off, unplug it, take WD-40, and spray all up in it on both sides it will make sounds for a little while then stop. It is running well once again. I hope to get 6 more years out of it. Hope this helps someone.

I decided to buy a less than new (read "good") item as it was sold and shipped from amazon and the description stated light cosmetic issues less than an inch on the outside in it's original packaging for fifteen dollars cheaper than brand new. The item came exactly as described and to my surprise actually had no actual damage on the product itself but the original packaging was slightly damaged and I think Amazon was just trying to cover themselves just in case. Item worked perfectly and was very quiet given the amount of air it was pushing. I use it for my spray booth to pull toxic fumes as well as organic material from overspray and it does what I need beautifully. The only gripe to mention is I did experience the so called noise that came after about an hour of breaking in. It is a soft knock obviously from a blade that probably wasn't machined exactly perfect that I'll probably try to fix st some point. The noise isn't constantly present but is rhythmic (obviously) seeming to get worse over time (again obviously) Still no regrets with the purchase and recommend.

Been running a full year, nonstop, at about medium speed, zero problems. I have done no maintenance. It moves a lot of air. It's kind of loud, but I can't compare loudness to other fans of the same size. When it was in my living room it was too loud. It's in my bedroom now not far from my bed and that doesn't bother me.

I am mining in a grow tent in a small 1br apartment and this ventilation solution has allowed me to max out my apartment electrical grid and keep quite an oversized (for my living situation) mining operation going. I have a smaller intake fan by the same brand, a different model, and with the two fans I circulate the outside air through my tent (both intake and exhaust tubes hang out the window), so that it does not affect the air pressure in my apartment.

It was really drafty when I was either sucking air in, or blowing it out. I thought I was getting the Korean Fan Death, my mouth would be soooooooo dried out every morning because my bedroom had like low air pressure. So keep in mind if you are exhausting hot air outdoors, that creates an air pressure gradient with other impacts.

I built an audio dampening box out of foam and wood to enclose the tent with the fan in it, and it helped, but was only maybe necessary. Hope this helps!

For those that have a larger home and are having issues getting the room furthest from the air handler to get remotely cool. This is your best option. My home is roughly 3500sq ft home and the office room is typically too hot for comfort. I've tried floor fans, swamp coolers, etc., ran this online 6" to boost air and my goodness wish I would have done this sooner. The room was not only no longer hot but legit cold. Like one of the colder rooms in the house. Now I'll just need to find a solution for turning the speed from Low/Medium/High remotely.

I got this fan for my 4'x4' grow tent (also a Vivosun purchase) and it is just amazing, perfect for my use. Then only a few months later it started knocking quite loudly, upon emailing Vivosun directly they issued me a full refund immediately so I could purchase another as it was the quickest way for me to get it.
