good: quality monitor screen. it rivals my wife's imac which was twice the price. in addition, it's a little higher so a bit more ergonomic.
bad: the sound - horrible. i'm contemplating returning it because of the budget sound from the speakerbox / power unit. really, i'm not an audiophile the sound is quite horrible. my harmon kardon soundsticks which are 5 years old run laps around this vizio audio. and unfortunately, there doesnt appear to be a slot to plug my soundsticks as a replacement.
indifferent: nice sleek design overall though i think the mouse pad is going to get some taking used to (if i decide to keep this pc). i work on excel alot and thusfar have had some troubles just maneuvering around generally.
think i will test this machine out a few days more before making the final decision to return or resell. the poor quality sound bothers me that much - especially if there's no alternative substituting (further research is in order}. before buying this pc, make sure you take a test drive of the look, feel and SOUND of this.
It's basically a huge tablet on a stem, sexy as all get out, but not practical -- sort of like owning a Ferrari when a tractor is needed to get the job done.
The Good: I find the touch-screen to be very responsive, and a must for Windows 8's metro interface. It's gorgeous sitting atop our marble table from 365 degrees - no visible cords. The resolution is stunning and anyone who sees it stares at it mouth agape.
The Bad: The sound is thin, very much like speakers from any flat-panel TV. The track pad is very difficult to get used to -- we wound up adding a USB Microsoft Arc-Touch mouse. The keyboard also takes getting used to, and lacks a numbers pad.
Overall: A fantastic machine for those wanting to delve into the future of Windows 8, watch streaming content, and needs a good passive use device. But, if you need to get down and dirty with Excel or any productivity software stick with a Windows 7 PC with standard mouse and keyboard.
