Lets start with the remote. Old one was illuminated and this one is only illuminated on the keyboard, not the channel/volume side. The RF blaster works fantastic (doesn't need to be pointed at the TV in our room) however the keyboard isn't 100% functional in all text boxes. There are special buttons on the remote face for amazon and netflix but not hulu.
Anyconnect/ARC functionality. I have a samsung soundbar (recent, latest patch loaded) and the TV doesn't function consistently with it. It works, but only occasionally. About 50% of the time I have to enter the TV menu to turn the speakers off despite the fact that I always leave them off. Sometimes the volume on the remote won't work requiring me to dig around for the soundbar remote. BOOO.
Setup was easy and discovered more than enough channels. Removing them is cumbersome and time consuming... but necessary.
Picture quality varies by source and is inconsistent channel to channel. My biggest complaint, and this is a big deal for me, is that regardless of source material, light skinned Caucasian skin or shiny tanned/African American skin tone highlights are blown out. I've tried adjusting this out through settings and google searched recommendations and I'm at a loss. Tanned/colored skin is absolutely beautiful but doesn't make up for how poorly this TV blows through highlights. I suspect that as a layperson, I will need to have the TV color pro-tuned for location/ambient light. Further, since lighting conditions vary, I suspect I'll need at least 2 (one day and one night time) settings. This could potentially cost a lot.
Audio... The audio on this tv is as poor as you'd expect it to be.
Connectivity. There are 5 HDMI inputs, 1 arc and 1 non-arc. 4 are 30hz while one is 60hz. Do familiarize yourself with this in the event that it doesn't meet your requirements. There is also an optical out for sound as well as inputs for component, composite, Ethernet and USB.
The tv is 802.11 AC compatible. Between my TV and a netgear AC (6300v2 I think, latest firmware) wireless router is about 40 feet including two walls. The wireless works very well, screens load quickly and both video and sound quickly ramp to a pleasing HD quality. Very satisfied with the content delivery performance.
All things considered, I believe that my money would have been better spent on a 'standard' HD SMART TV from Samsung.
The color accuracy on the video isn't as good as my out of the box, 10 year old samsung, I don't have any 4k source material the higher resolution does not produce an appreciably better viewing experience. At this time, for this TV, it's a no vote for me.
Side note - I've seen some really great reviews on this TV from various sources... It is not clear to me why or how they arrived at the conclusions they did. It is simply not good enough, at this time, to go with a 4k tv at this level. That said, I am going to keep the TV. It cost me very little out of pocket (less than $100 of my own money) and the TV that I would exchange it for is at least $300 more than my current investment. I don't watch TV enough to justify the spend. In the meantime, I'll hope that some of the color issues can be either corrected professionally or through a firmware update. Fingers xd.
As of Feb 2016 Yahoo! announced plans to divest its Smart TV business as it eliminates legacy businesses.
Crackle does not work at all (video does not restart after a commercial) and Crackle Support claims to know about the problem and can only suggest alternative devices.
Hulu also fails after commercials, and now when it does, jumps back the beginning of the show. Not after every commercial but about 50%. Can fast forward back to after the commercial.
Hulu offers to help debug the issue. If they would give me the code for a Yahoo Connected TV I would take a run at it. I actually looked at becoming a Yahoo Connected TV developer.
Also, the selection of Apps is tiny compared to say Roku and as far as I can tell nothing has ever been added.
So, at this point, if you are looking for a Smart TV with a comprehensive set of apps for streaming, look elsewhere, or plan on adding an additional streaming device. Other brands use Yahoo! Smart TV.
The set has another problem that Vizio did partially address. It will forget the channel skip settings on OTA broadcast channels. Sub channels set to be skipped will simply lose their skip setting. It was much worse, all would be lost in minutes, but after working with Vizio, and a software update, now it happens once a week on one channel. It might have something to do with signal drop out.
I have had the set for just about a year.
Otherwise a nice set, the app issues is a bit disappointing, means going back to a Roku box much sooner than I expected.

Update: Jul 2019 - reduced rating to 2 star because screen went black (burnt backlights) after only 3 years of normal use. Too expensive to repair, item is now only good for re-cycling! Had to order a new TV.
