The problem with this sound bar is that there is an extreme gap between "too quiet to really be audible" and "so loud it is annoying." You get what you pay for (and the price is cheap; which is why I bought it), but I wish I would have bought the bose sound bar.

I ordered this as a father's day gift and it actually worked really fantastically. For about 7 months. Back in the end of Feb 2017 (was purchased June of 2016) the bar starting making a horrendous high pitched buzzing noise and wouldn't play any other sounds from the TV. We had to physically unplug it. It came with a 1-year warranty, but I emailed about it when it first broke and as of today (3.24.17) I have not heard back. DO NOT BUY THIS!!

My refurbished sound bar came with all the proper accessories and hooked up to my TV easily - Vizio offered several cable options. The sound is OK - not great; but not bad for the price paid. Mine just refused to pair with my almost-new Smartphone that I have successfully paired with 4 cars and a few other Bluetooth speakers (in other words, the problem isn't the phone). And yes, I carefully read and heeded the directions to no avail.
This might be a nice addition to a bedroom TV, for example; but as the main TV speaker that I had *hoped* would also play my music via Bluetooth - well, thank goodness for Amazon because I'm returning it and not ordering another.

Was having problems hearing dialog when using the regular tv speakers. Thought a sound bar was a good way to go, as the wife didn't want to have to fire up a dedicated surround system every time we watched tv. This helped immensely. It isn't perfect, as there are times when I have to turn up the volume but this happens way less than before I got this. Purchased after seeing many positive reviews, both on Amazon and other sites, and have been satisfied with the results. Seems to have decent bass without using a subwoofer and overall sounds really good. Think you'd be hard pressed to find a better alternative at this price range. Hookup was really easy and the unit looks nice in front of my tv. Product was packaged well and arrived in good condition. Would definitely recommend.

Can't beat this soundbar for the price. I put this in my bedroom with a 48 inch vizio flat screen. The built-in speakers on the television were okay, but obviously not great. This soundbar was exactly what we needed. For me, there was no reason to put a $400+ top of the line sound bar in our bedroom, which is a smaller room where we don't watch television nearly as much (or at a high volume). This speaker made watching movies in bed more enjoyable, and helps us hear dialogue more easily when the tv volume is turned down lower at night (i.e. if me or my wife is trying to sleep). Clearer, fuller sound at just a low price - totally worth it. I have a sonos soundbar with sub in my main TV room, and it never crosses my mind that i am dealing with a less expensive or less capable sound bar in the bedroom simply because it functions perfectly for its purpose there.

I bought this because the Samsung 60-inch LED TV I bought has what I believe to be the absolute worst built-in speakers ever made.
This sound bar is a 10-fold improvement! Easy to install, and fits perfectly in my TV stand, blends so we'll most people don't even see it (see photo).
It also has a subwoofer out, which is another feature I desired because I had a nice Yamaha woofer left from a previous system. Works great, only need a little subwoofer to make this soundbar really perform.
Only negatives are: the included optic cable did not work, it was too short because the input on the soundbar is on the left, and the output on the TV is on the right. $5 for a 6-foot from Amazon fixed that. The remote is also a bit cheesy but it works until I get a good universal. Now if I could just find an easy way to hide the wires...

I bought this to pair up with a cheap 32" Westinghouse tv. I honestly was not expecting the great bass and sound quality. I'm not kidding when I say that this sounds better than the Zvox 565 in my living room (for a fraction of the price).

It arrived yesterday, worked great for the first couple minutes. Then it stopped working and began to emit a high pitched electronic squealing sound. I turned it off and back on. It worked again for a little while, then more of the same annoying noise. Eventually it wouldn't work at all. Nothing but the high pitched noise when I turned it on. At the beginning of my trouble shooting, I tried switching from the digital optic cable to the RCA cable to see if that would fix it. The same. It would work for a couple minutes, then more electronic screeching noise. I'm returning this item and have asked for a replacement. I hope the replacement actually work.
Update: amazon sent me the replacement right away. They give you 30 days to return the defective one. I must say, the replacement works great so far. It's a great addition to our 40 inch tv and the Bluetooth works with our phones too for playing music and podcasts. Great deal for the price.

this thing is a piece. it worked wonderfully when i first bought it. i connected it to my TV and also used it via bluetooth with my phone, ipad, etc. after about 2 months of light use, the bluetooth signal got shaky and would disconnect and then take a really long time to pair and then, it wouldn't pair with any bluetooth devices. now, the unite won't even work with my HDMI or AUX cord to my TV. but it would still work with my phone and ipad for music...for a little while. now, every time i plug a device into the aux, it will work for a couple minutes, then it stops. and won't work again until a day or so later. i have NO clue what the deal is. it's collecting dust under my TV now...
