It's quite a good game. One glitch I've not yet worked out is that once you complete the first two maps in each of the three scenarios you are able to see further maps for each scenario but they come up as being locked. There are no instructions that I can find on how to unlock them.
Very challenging at hard level, the AI seems to learn from your tactics. I don't know if the developer is still active, but it would be nice to have a scenario editor or way to change start positions and pieces.
If you enjoy turn based war games, buy this one. I have had it for awhile now and keep coming back to it. As you progress through the levels of the game you gain access to tougher units. Of course, so does your opponent. You cannot upgrade your units so choose them wisely, they are what they are. Your foot troops are the only ones who can take over buildings, neutral or held by the enemy. Fun thing is, any equipment in a building becomes yours. But be careful, the same is true if one of your buildings falls. There are buildings which provide resources, nothing specific just generic points to use, and buildings to construct equipment. One for land based vehicles like tanks, humvees, personnel carries, artillery, etc. Another for aircraft, and a third for ships. Tougher equip has better hitting power and greater range. Also, be careful, some ground forces cannot attack the air! All in all, a fun way to kill time! Enjoy!
Good game for a bit of tactics and unit interaction. I've got several on the Kindle and this one keeps getting reloaded every three or four months and I run through the three campaigns again. Yes, the AI "cheats" by having a bigger resource pool, but that is fairly standard. I'd like it better if the AI made more intelligent choices one when to sacrifice and when to retreat its units, but give them enough stuff and it works out. Besides, this is more of an old school game, so why not the old school AI. ;)
