Includes temp sensor and enough wiring for a 19' motorhome.
Since this has it's own optional gridlines, you can use this product with or without a gridline camera. I recommend a non-grid camera, since the gridlines on this can be fine tuned depending on your camera location. (my attached photo was before adjusting gridlines). I have a wide angle camera mounted up high pointing down. I parked in a lot and adjusted the gridlines to the painted lines. They have a little too much curve at this angle, so it's not 100% perfect but I'm happy with it.
I used this with Esky EC170-11. Great in day or night, love the factory look. The pivot is a little stiff and the mirror is heavy. It broke off my original window mount from the glass. I reglued it carefully and so far its holding up.
6 MONTH UPDATE, still very thrilled with this mirror. I have 20% tinted rear windows so I chose this one without the autodim feature, and it's great day and night.
The compass can actually be adjusted depending on your location in the world. This is because magnetic north is not true north, and can be off by as much as 45 degrees. This has to do with the earth's magnetic fields, not the mirror's fault.
The sensor is as reliable as where you mount it. Mine is in the intake shroud for my air conditioner. In direct sun that compartment will be a few degrees above outside temp.
It comes with a metal glue mount with more surface area than your stock one. I recommend using it. I did not and I worry that the extra weight might break my stock one loose, especially since it feels stiff to adjust. In fact it did initially break it loose so I reglued the stock metal piece before finding the other one in the package.
Did a self-install on a 2015 Nissan frontier.
5 stars for initial product quality, -1 star for the instructions. The wiring diagrams are wrong. You can't just connect the red wire to the reverse light because the compass and temp will only work when in reverse. Red needs to go to some power source that's on with ACC or ignition. Don't hook it to a line that's always on from the battery (even when the car is off) or you will eventually kill your battery. Black is negative. Green goes to the reverse lights. That part is key for the screen to turn on/off when the car is in reverse.
I had to research a bunch to figure out how to wire this thing myself since I hadn't done this before. I didn't want to cut into the wires themselves so I found something called Add-a-Circuit / Add-a-Fuse that allows you to use one of your existing fuses to wire the original fuse plus the new device. Only problem on the 2015 frontier is that there is no reverse light fuse in the cabin. If I only hooked up red and black, the compass and temp work but no screen. If I hook up the green as well (but not to the reverse light), the screen is full blue when turning on the car for about 5 seconds and again when leaving reverse for about 5 seconds. I'll live with this for a week until I take the time to connect green to the reverse light fuse in the engine compartment.
Downgraded to 3 stars. The little articulating arm that connects it to the windshield has gotten loose and the mirror can flop around on large bumps.
Just an FYI; the mirror mount is not really universal. It is best to call Boyo first and insure you order the windshield mount that best fits your car. I expect anyone with German made cars may have some issues.
