I LOVE the Grow and Discover Tree House Toy! My son is a little old for this at 3 but he still enjoys the songs and identifying different shapes and colors. However, my niece who just turned one is is the perfect age for this toy. She enjoys the songs and loves the little animals. She is in the in between stage of crawling and walking, so she loves the little window because she can crawl up to it, open the shade and be able to sit up and look through it.

I've really noticed how both my niece and son use their fine motor skills when playing with the Grow and Discover Tree House Toy. They both have a blast cranking the little little gears around and playing peek a boo with each other through the window. My son likes to point out all of the animals and share their sounds. I also have heard him continuously practice his counting with the little buttons. It's a perfect floor toy too for kiddos who are just starting to sit to kids who are up and walking around. The sounds and colors draw the attention of any little one and keep them occupied for long periods of time.

I highly recommend the Grow and Discover Tree House Toy if you are thinking of a gift for a child's first birthday or for a first Christmas gift. While the age range is up to 36 months and it is appropriate for kids 6-36 months, I'd say the ideal age for this toy is 1-2 years of age. I definitely plan on ordering one now for my nephew (who is 8 months) this Christmas.

we got this toy to compare it to the Little Tikes Activity Garden, because they are quite similar in size and close in price. This toy is super cute. It's easy to assemble. we only had one issue of one of the poles not staying in after we clicked to create the top part of the "tent", but after a day or so, it finally stayed in place. my son falls asleep in his tree house all the time, he loves playing in it. I highly recommend this toy because it's fun to crawl through and stand inside. my son (13 months now) doesn't really use the ball rolling feature, but i'm sure he will at some point. I made a video review of this toy also [...] thanks for watching!

The Grow and Discover Tree House is a major hit with the kids! It was a little bit difficult to assemble, but once it was put together, we couldn't keep our 4 year old girl and 14 month old boy away from it. The baby loves to go inside and walk around, dragging the whole thing with him, like a little mobile fort. They both enjoy putting balls down the slide and the various buttons and features. It's really a good deal for the money, very durable once assembled. I was not sure about taking up the space for this toy in our home, but it's well worth adding to the collection. Both of my kids play with it every day.

Back story : Purchased as Christmas present for my son who turns 1 a week later. He is a very active, climby, not sit still-y almost walker who is in the 91st percentile for weight and 99 for height. Also purchased the fisher price laugh and learn home and he received the little tikes activity garden play set as well.
Pros: With all the new toys in the same area, this was the first he went to. He spends the most time when playing by himself with this, loves putting the balls down the little slides, kissing the monkey on the tent, and pressing the little buttons where the shapes go. He likes patting on the top and using the bars to walk around which is part pro.
Cons: the instructions were awful. #6 gave me like 3 meltdowns. Could not figure out how to connect the bars until I realized after 2 other people had failed as well, that it doesn't mention the little green pieces packed with the balls and shapes get screwed onto the ends as well. It is extremely unsturdy which makes my sons affinity for cruising on it and pulling on the tops and bars very tense for me. The 2 green bars on top and 1 on bottom click in like it says they should when secured but they pop back out with any movement. Also, my son pops the little ball slides out whenever he gets excited and grabs them to get the balls. I'd put it together in my bedroom...Santa's workshop, and went to move it to the tree Xmas eve when I realized it didn't fit through my standard sized bedroom door FYI, had to unscrew, dismantle the evil thing and do it all over again, I feel like the fisher price is much much better quality though my son seems to enjoy this one more.

I don't think I can say enough good about the Discover Tree House for VTech. We had a similar toy from a different brand that we loved, and weren't entirely sure we wanted to replace it. But as soon as we set this up, we knew it was a winner. Our 19month old son can't get enough of it, and I have to remind my 5 year old that she can only play in it, if her brother is asleep. There is a myriad of different play areas on the treehouse, with lots of fun sounds, that also promote learning. Every day I seem to find something new I hadn't noticed or heard from it.
For example - my husband was playing with our son in it, and found out that it will tell you the color of the ball when it is pushed down the chute. Then I found the clock also plays different sounds depending on what time you turn it too (oh the night time sound, I wanted to take a nap listening to it!).
After putting this and our previous playhouse next to each other for a few days, it was very clear that our son preferred the VTech tree house, so we passed our other toy on. The tree house seems a bit more compact as well, taking up less space, but still leaving plenty of room to play.
