This premium automotive vinyl by VViViD Vinyls is specially engineered for DIY'ers. This durable film is ideal for long-term fleet and motorsport marketing applications, and provides a lightweight, economical alternative to paint.
At 4.3mils in thickness, the film will stretch and conform to any shape and thick enough that discoloration, stretch marks and other visible defects when wrapping and driving are kept to a minimum.
This product has built in VViViD Air Release, VViViD Resist, and VViViD Heat Fuse technologies to support the DIY'ers and the professional look of the completed quality. See the product description below for the details about these technologies.
Application: Dry. Adhesive : Solvent-based, repositionable, permanent adhesive. Life: This vinyl is expected to easily last 5-7 years outdoors.
This Vinyl can be installed using 3M 94 Primer and 3M Edge sealer, these are not mandatory, these products will promote adhesion and add life to your vinyl. The sealer or primer will not remove the glue, deform the vinyl or ruin the texture unlike cheaper quality films.

HORRIBLE - Terrible packaging, defective product

I have use several roles of Peatop film from Amazon. It came in a good box, like VViViD pictures in this Amazon listing. Peatop had a protective film on the surface, as well as the release liner. I was able to use 100% of those rolls. I decide to order VViVid's product. What a joke. Arrives in an envelope with the knife less tape I also ordered thrown in. No box. No protective film. I looked at the roll and the outer layers were scratched to the point of being useless. So I threw that away and said to myself, this poor packaging from Amazon and their suppliers is really getting bad lately. Then I used a piece from further in the roll, which functioned fine, until I put a light on it only to see scratches everywhere....and I only used my fingers applying it! So now I needed my second matching piece, which I unroll from the interior of the roll. It has parallel deep scrapes that were not from the horrible packaging. See picture, look between the light reflections. Then, when I put a light on it from another angel, it has halo like gray stripes going the other direction that you can't see in a photo. I told Amazon. They refunded my money. But I still had to finish my job that took several hours. It looks like crap if you look at it closely because of the films surface multiple defects, right out of the box. Total crap. New I have to re-do the job.

Minimal stretch

The vinyl looks great but unfortunately I believe I ordered the wrong type. This particular vinyl seemed to have little stretch and when it got about an inch deep in the wheel I was trying to wrap, it ripped. I tried heating up another section more and it burned through. It would be great on a surface that didn't require it to stretch much.
*Edit*
after further investigating, it seems as though proper auto wrap vvivid xpo vinyl should have a silver adhesive side, this type stretches quite well based on a few videos i came across.
whether this is not auto wrap, an old version of xpo, or fake vvivid i cannot proper say but i figure it would be good for others to know.

My initial impression was that compared to alternatives like 3M's 1080 film, this vinyl is much more difficult to apply, conforms to bends poorly, loses tack when re-positioned, and the surface is extremely susceptible to fine scratches which make the end result look dull.

With further experience, I'm still not a huge fan, but I will say that side-by side, the gloss on the Vvivid XPO is much, much higher than 3M 1080, and the fine scratches can be avoided by using a buffer wet down with soap and water, or minimized by heating the vinyl after squeegeeing to make it "self-heal." The film is thinner, but much stiffer, and takes a lot more effort to cold-stretch.

I have a black 2008 Silverado crew cab. I have been customizing my truck since day one I bought it. I had been wanting to black out the chrome in the front end to give it that sharp look. I had been debating to get it painted but was told the paint would eventually chip off when taking long drives from the little pebble rocks hitting the grille. So I decide to wrap my whole front my self to save money and let me tell you, i am very pleased on how my grille came out. Still need to wrap the chrome bumper and it will be done. But so far it's looking good.

Seems pretty good, For someone like me that sucks with vinyl it was a chore working with it, but I noticed how when you heated it you can stretch it nicely, then it cools almost instantly and stays in the shape it cooled in.

Pretty need, It’s about what I thought it would be, if anyone didn’t like it I would imagine it is user error, product seemed fine.

This might be ok if you are wrapping a small item but if it is large get something that is higher quality. It isn't very flexible to get the bubbles out. Also, the roll was squished when I received it, so there were wrinkles in the roll and there were scratches all over it brand new. I had to trash it. Spend the money on a higher quality one.

You buy this because you are too cheap to buy 3M quality. Vinyl wrapping itself is not an easy job, so ease of use is low, especially for newbies. If you don't stick it on right, it's really hard to get rid of bubbles. If you try and pull it off, it might rip the entire thing off because the adhesive is so sticky. This becomes even harder when you are trying to wrap something that isn't flat.

It does an okay job for vinyl sticker car decals, but it is trash for wrapping exterior car parts. Recommend to go find a guy who can do it so you don't waste your time dealing with this.
