About Valentina Cirasola
Valentina Cirasola was born in Bari, the main city of Puglia, Italy, to a family of artists, designers, and food connoisseurs. She followed her mom’s footsteps and became a fashion/interior designer. She expresses her creativity in the homes she designs and decorates for her clients. She is often called “The Colorist” for a reason, she vibrates people’s world with her love for colors, which prompted her to write a book on this subject, title:
©RED – A Voyage Into Colors, First and Second Edition.
With this book, she delves into how to see colors, how to manipulate colors to one’s advantage, and how-to live-in colors. The book touches on interior styles, fashion, food, entertainment, and much more, it feels like a real voyage.
Her life in Bari as a young woman was restless and full of ambitions. Her curiosity about what was behind the horizon of the Adriatic Sea took her to explore the world and ended up living in America, where she opened her design company and became a TV producer with her own label: ©Valentina Design Universe.
Valentina today talks often about Puglia to her foreign audience and encourages everyone to visit Puglia, to experience a wheel of unknown emotions of a simpler life where time is important but not that relevant and where family, friends take precedence.
Valentina goes to Italy! As a cultural promoter of Puglia, she encourages friends and curious travelers to visit her homeland and delves into the rich history, beautiful architecture, she wants people to discover hidden corners and to experience healthy, colorful food they have never heard before. Her loved Puglia has remained in her heart, in her traditions, in her daily rituals, and her strong values, the reason why she wrote the fourth book:
©The Road To Top Of The World - Short Stories In The Land Of Puglia.
Valentina's latest addition to her book collection is ©Naked Lemons, a short book all about lemons and yellow energy.
Valentina calls herself “a good fork” and likes to eat real food, from which she draws her positive energy. For the love of her native land, she wrote two cookery books on Puglia cuisine with stories of her youth that happened in various kitchens of family, friends, and people she knew.
Growing up, Valentina was only allowed to watch the cooking happening in her family, but not to practice it! She did not get the opportunity to cook until she moved away and started to cook for herself out of necessity. Then, as if by a miracle, all those years watching, eating, and tasting translated to doing. She recalled the perfection of how every dish was supposed to look and taste. Watching her family and eating good food every day, gave her the expertise and knowledge of a professional chef.
Her first book ©Come Mia Nonna - A Return To Simplicity, is for people who have never cooked and those who don't have much time to cook. This book proves that anyone can put together an excellent and healthy meal in thirty minutes without spending a load of money.
Her second book ©Sins Of A Queen features appetizers and sweets from her native region of Puglia, mostly made from fruit and not loaded with processed sugar. The appetizers are delightful morsels, which can be turned also into meals.

Blog postEurope is dotted with castles, each with its own history of families intertwined by political marriages, demagogic expansions and economic wars. Nothing different than what happens today in every country and its people. In 1469, the Triestine people engaged in a war against the Venetian Republic by themselves without the support of the Habsburgs, of […]3 weeks ago Read more

Blog postA few years ago, I was working on the computer, the day was sunny and warm and I started wondering what I was doing sitting there, closed between four walls of a room. Blog postHow many times do I get to see a historic building in the US? Hardly ever. The country is so new that has not yet had the time to grow old, make history and memories. In fact, I heard that when a building reaches 50 years of age, it goes down like dust. This past […]2 months ago Read more
