Jenna in the other hand is your typical glamorous and fashion designer girl who is willing to do anything to keep her reputation popular. She is surrounded with a very sweet and funny family. They are very supportive of her too.
Harley will lick you with his cuteness. This dog is beyond cute and you want to have him in your life too.
Valentine Hound Day is a very sweet book of Ms. Rachelle. Reading it will make your heart leap with joy and never give up on love. One of her sweetest book. You will never stop admiring firemen and their heroism.
What makes this interesting is that there is a really cute hound dog named Harley, that acts as a matchmaker and brings everyone together.
Jenna comes off as aloof in the beginning of the story. She adopts Harley to use him in her fashion show, with the intention of giving him to her brother later as a surprise. However, acting spur of the moment, she doesn't think about the consequences of where to keep the dog. When Harley runs away, it creates the perfect chance for her to realize that her life is hectic and disorganized. It also paves the way for her to meet Larry.
Larry is a loner. His disfiguring scars from his stint as a fireman have really done a number on him emotionally and physically. His guilt of not being able to save everyone from the house fire that left scars on both his mind and body, still plagues him and it holds him back from personal relationships. It also gave him a phobia of fire and prevents him from returning to that profession. Not good enough is his mantra and after finding Harley, he finds the perfect companion to share his woes with. However, it's because of Harley that he meets Jenna.
He couldn't be more opposite than Jenna. But they do say opposites attract, right?Read more ›
I love this story because it is so real and so sad at the same time. You see the hero who is afraid of himself and are afraid to get hurt by other people so he cuts himself off. I really felt for Larry and how he was as a person. on the outside the big, fire fighter with muscles and the scars but his heart is so different, so soft and so full of love.
I didnt really like Jenna, she is simply not the person I like. She dont think about anything as long as it dont comes to her and her work and her goal of succeeding. But still she makes changes so even I started to like her and she is perfect for this story.
Okay now I will talk about my favorite part of this book Harley. The cute bassett hound puppy I feel in love with. he is so real in this book and its impossible not to love him and he is the important thing. without him nothing would succeed or work out for anyone.
This story is simply awesome in so many ways. I did fell in love with the story and how it is written with the split views and how twists comes into the story. I am so happy I got to beta read it and I think more people than me will fall in love with the story. And I can recommend other people to read it because it is simply beautiful and interesting.
Every imperfection makes the story even more perfect.
Valentine Hound Dog is one of my favorite story now, with its cute dog with adorable name, Harley. Our hero and heroine have messy past and some regret.
Jenna is not your usual heroine. She is a fashion designer who makes her looks like a not-so-good woman, but once again she proved us mistaken. She's probably one of the bravest and honest person you will know. She's ready to fight and protect the one she cares about.
Larry is a big teddy bear. He's not a coward even he thinks so. He just need time to recover from the traumatic experience and source of his grief of not being able to save a little kid from the fire. He is the kind of hero that you would love. Not only big-hearted, he's also selfless.
I love the scene in which Jenna told Larry to show off his scars because it's his badge of courage and I totally agree with her.
This book teaches me a lot especially that true beauty is reflected from your character and heart. I admire Larry's courage to return to his firefighting day.
This book is really beautiful with all of the emotional rollercoaster and I totally recommend you reading this story.
