Cassie Ames hates Valentine's Day. It's been a year since her boyfriend took her out for a romantic dinner and she thought he was finally going to pop the question. She didn't expect to find him banging the waitress. This year she wants nothing to do with the romantic holiday. No candy. No romantic frou-frou. Nothing. When her nerdy friend and colleague asks her to hang out with him, he promises her the most unromantic day he can think of. If that's what she wants, that's what he'll do. Anything to get her to see him as a man, as boyfriend material. You'll have to read the story to find out whether or not his attempts to win over the cynic are successful.
Who doesn't love a sweet, romantic story about friends to lovers? Both characters were so adorable in the way they represented both sides of the coin. Cassie was stubborn, cynical and blind to the attraction between her and Noah. Poor, sweet, loveable Noah. He had the body of a god and the fashion sense of a Sheldon Cooper. I loved the unconventional "date" he took her on. The story shows that celebrating V-Day should be in tune with who they are, not what is perceived as romantic by the big money makers of this holiday. The dialogue and humor between the characters made them so likeable, and the story felt realistic. I wish it had been just a wee bit longer, perhaps an epilogue with a snapshot of them on their second Valentine's Day date.
If you're looking for a clean romance (no sex) , heavy on the sweetness and a happy ending, then this is a story for you.

Noah and Cassie worked together. Noah had liked Cassie for a long time, but Cassie had only seen him as a friend. They decided to have an UN- Valentine's day, but Noah was determined to let her see him in a different light. Noah was sexy, fun, kind, caring, charming, supportive and funny. This was such a fun read, I highly recommend it.
This is a sweet, simple and adorable story that left me wanting more! Like Cassie, I dislike all the commercialism that is now associated with Valentine's Day. She and Noah had the most perfect "Un-Valentine's" day! Kristine, I'm going to steal those ideas for next year!
