Valerie Tejeda (pronounced teh-heh-dah) is an author, editor, and internationally published entertainment and lifestyle journalist. Her bylines have appeared in publications such as Vanity Fair, MTV, Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Huffington Post, Latina, and more. Hollywood Witch Hunter (published by Bloomsbury and Audible) was her debut young adult urban fantasy novel and the first book she's ever written. She currently has new books in the works.

Valerie's interviewed celebrities, authors, fashion designers, and professional athletes for exclusive stories. Her piece about social media anxiety for Marie Claire has been used in research studies on mental health. She's had multiple articles cited in scholarly journals, including Oxford University Press.

Valerie also creates specialized content for brands and has worked with companies such as Peet's Coffee, Sony Pictures, and more.

Valerie loves to sing and is a published songwriter. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology. In her free time, she can often be found studying astrology, researching documents for her family tree, or binge-watching TV shows.
