Blog postI came to a mind-numbing stop. Before me, aisles and aisles of reds, whites, blue, silver, gold, and the ever-present green. Christmas and holiday décor had taken over the part of the store where, just last week, I had grabbed my son’s Halloween costume off the rack. In fact, tomorrow was “trick-or-treat” day as my little ones called it. “This is too soon.” I panned left to right and back again. “What happened to Turkey Day?” Rubbing my forehead, I marveled over the shoppers cruising2 years ago Read more

Blog post[Sorry, it’s been a while, here we go~!]
I’ve come to realize that I’m THAT friend. Yes, the one you can’t take out in public without something weird or embarrassing unfolding. Granted, in my defense, it’s not intentional but at times it may seem like self sabotage. It happens enough times, that it definitely impacts my ability to make a decision on the second instance it may happen, which leads me to a double-hitter for this VTMAS.

It’s so hard with Autism, Lung transplants, Surgeries galore, and trying to keep finances afloat – life can leave us breathless. Regardless, THANK YOU for the support and keep it u

Blog postFebruary was a Rough Month February was rough. A lot of personal level hard hits knocked the wind out of me, but life happens. Blog postOn Saturdays, Mama set me down in front of the churn. In summer days, she set me on the porch to look out upon the woods, she said, to look for fairies and woodsprite, to keep the woodland green at bay, lest it overtake the house and we be lost. On winter days, I set […]

Blog postRomance. There’s this whole genre in movies, books, and TV series. Even then, in other genres it sort of creeps in there somehow. It comes in different flavors and even speeds! No, seriously let’s take a look at some of these. I don’t list them all, but I figured I would focus on terms you may not know how to interpret or curious to know what is being revealed. I’ll list some titles, though you may not all agree with me and that’s ok. Check out some cool listings on GoodReads for these as well3 years ago Read more

The Legend of the Horseman:
The legend of the Headless Horseman begins in Sleepy Hollow, New York, during the American Revolutionary War. Traditional folklore holds that the Horseman was a Hessian artilleryman who was killed during the Battle of White Plains in 1776. He was decapitated by an American cannonball, and the shattered remains of his head were left on the battlefield while his comrades hastily carried his body away. Eventually they buried him in the cemetery of the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow, from which each Halloween night he rises as a malevolent ghost, furiously seeking his lost head. That's all there is...or is it?
A Night at the Inn:

Fast forward to present day. Will takes paranormal-obsessed girlfriend Emma to the supposedly-haunted Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast. The home, famous for the murders of Lizzie’s parents, is now a popular tourist destination for thrill seekers, ghost hunters, and lovers of the macabre. Did Lizzie really kill her parents? Only Max, a black cat who has taken up residence there, knows for sure. And he’s got a story to tell…if the couple will listen.
