If there was a ten star option i would select it. This coffee is life changing. Two days ago i was a quiet, low self esteem nerd with a boring office job. As soon as i opened the bag my face had the weirdest tingling happening. So i ground up this amazing smelling magic bean and made 4 cups and boy let me tell you. I blacked out. When I came to I was wearing a flannel shirt and overalls. I had a full man beard. I’m talking duck dynasty status. Wondering what happened i called into work and they let me know that i had slapped my boss and called him a beta male and quit. I immediately panicked of course but then i found out i had a new job as a diesel mechanic. I went outside to get in my crappy Honda Accord only to find out it had actually transformed into a Dodge cummins that sounds like big foot and a jet plane having sex when i mash on the pedal and it pukes bald eagles out of the tail pipe. It’s a 5 speed and i never learned how to drive one until this coffee taught me. I apparently had also built a log cabin. I joined a heavy metal band as the guitarist. I don’t even own a guitar but i found the coolest BC warlock axe in my living room, held by none other than Zakk Wylde. He handed me the piece of art and together we played metal licks so amazing that we actually summoned a demon named dildoroth or something and then we beat him up and made a necklace out of his horns. It was probably the wildest experience of my life but it changed me. It was a good change. Now I’m covered in tattoos, i can probably bench press a house, and the biggest thing is I’m not a nerd. I went into a book store and immediately all of Hillary Clinton’s books caught on fire when i looked at them.
I RECOMMEND THIS COFFEE TO ANYONE THAT WANTS TO UNLOCK THEIR INNER BADASS. I now walk around with a camelback filled with this magic juice. Everyone buy it. Right now.

I just shaved my chest but the hair grew back instantly after my first deliciously bold cup. After the third cup, I took up the art of fine weapon blcksmithing and with the help of my friends, built a Viking longboat and set about pillaging every town along the Delaware River. This is excellent coffee, but it is very potent. It is potent even for me, and I drink coffee all day long. Yes, it is every bit as potent as advertised. Plus, it comes with cool stickers. But be warned: not everyone can handle this coffee. I work the night shift, and when I make a pot, a co-worker will have a cup. Just one cup is enough to make this person become EXTREMELY ANNOYING, talking non-stop, singing and making noises, drumming on the table and telling corny jokes. You have been warned.

Caffffffeine and good taste low acid coffee

Ive had this for a few days and have had about 5 cups of it.

I french press it using a course ground/ medium ground mixture, 1 minute off of boil, 30 second bloom, 4 minute brew and its perfect.

Taste: Its a bit smoky and a bit chocolately. It reminds me of my grandpa that use to keep his cigars packed in dark roast coffee beans. In a good way of course. One of the few coffees I can take without cream or sugar. The first drink has some bite but it smooths out on second drink.

Since I french press it there really is no bitterness.

Caffeine: It punches me. Pretty hard. Its not a long drawn out caffeine high. I say its a good 3 hour cup for me. One in the morning and one around 2 and Im seeing musical notes and hearing colors.

One thing that I have not experienced with this bag is the lack of "stomach rot" feeling I get when I drink other coffees. So I assume its low acid.

Are you not the biggest fan of the taste of coffee? Well then this review is for you!

I never used to be about the flavor of coffee. I'd always throw in lots of sugar, good amount of milk. Having worked in a Korean office, I slowly learned that I'm gonna have to choke down Black Coffee and acquire a taste for it. Well, here I am typing this review while drinking this black. So let's get to it!

Is this a super caffeinated coffee? I dunno. Maybe. But I think my tolerance is just really high. I will say, it does the job though.

How's the taste? Fantastic. It's very smooth and not very bitter, so it's got a good taste to it even black. I tend to go ahead and if I'm making a 6 cup pot, I'll use 3 scoops of Vahalla Java and then 3 scoops of my favorite flavored coffee (which happens to be Mary Lou's Milky Way). Ends up being an excellent blend of worlds. However, the Vahalla Java on it's own is fantastic and what I think would be a really great introductory brand for people to try drinking coffee black. If not, even with milk and no sugar it is very enjoyable.

How long does a bag last? I usually drink 4-6 cups a day and as I said, I'll usually half and half the scoops with a flavored brand. Doing that every day allows the bag to last for a month, which is perfect if you do the subscription (WORTH IT).

I don't think there's much else to review. It's a great coffee. I highly suggest it.

I'm no connoisseur of coffee by any means, however I do drink it basically every day at work (machine filter) and on days at home (moka pot espresso).

I bought a bag of Valhalla for myself and also for a friend as part of a birthday gift, my friend loved and I do too. From the cool packaging (stickers included) and badass/humorous description on the back, to the overwhelmingly beautiful smell once you pop the bag open, this coffee is an awesome experience that I'm sure any coffee-drinker will appreciate.

When I say this stuff is strong, it is not overpowering in anyway, just as strong as I like it to be with a rich taste and such a wholesome look and smell from the super-fresh beans in the bag to the black oily gold that seeps out the spout of my moka pot, this stuff is as much of a joy to prepare as it is to drink.

Looking forward to trying more from the Death Wish Coffee Company.

I first got into Death Wish coffee back in 2017, this and Death Wish Valhalla was fantastic, really nice, smooth and strong coffee. Perfected to start the day with. It is just a shame that the price has doubled over recent years, costing £14.99 in 2017 and now for the same volume its £37.99. Can't really spend that level of cash every 3-4 weeks on just beans.

If you can get it for cheaper, highly recommend the brand!

I am not a drinker of very strong coffee at all - expected this to be way too much for me.

It is really smooth given how much caffeine is in it. As long as you enjoy coffee you will definitely enjoy this!

I would give it 5 stars as it is easily my favourite coffee but the price spoils it a little. The box it comes in and the free stickers are a nice touch. Will buy again.

While more pleasant than many dark roast coffees, I found this one to be not particularly to my palate. It certainly produced a very strong espresso with a lovely layer of crema but it was a bit overwhelming for me. That said, it didn't have any of the unpleasant burnt flavour you often get with cheap dark roast so if you're looking for something potent, but smooth, this is well worth a look.
