- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2017Working in a very cold work environment this mouse saved my hands constantly. Originally had a different brand of heated mouse that broke quickly after using it, the ValueRays mouse has lasted over a year and still works like day one. I have recommended this to many coworkers who have gone out and bought one of their own.
Pros:
- Good quality mouse and spin wheel
- GREAT heating capability
- Mouse heats up very quickly
- Scroll wheel lights up
Cons:
- Heat control is a little plastic dongle about a foot from the mouse, sometimes it gets in the way or weighs down the cord.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2017My hands get super cold in my office, so when I saw this heated mouse I just had to give it a shot! It has three settings: off, low, and high. High is pleasantly cozy, so problem solved! The mouse itself is slightly textured and easy to grip. The scrollwheel has a red LED behind it which matches the other LEDs in my computer, so I consider that a plus. My only complaint is that using the scroll wheel as a button is very difficult as it's very stiff and hard to press down. So if you plan on using that function a lot (say, Autocad?) it's actually very annoying. Aside from that issue, the mouse actually does exactly what it said it would: move the cursor around the screen while keeping my hand warm.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2014Follow-up Review:
While, initially, I was in love with this product, unfortunately, I am again without my heated mouse due to it losing functionality... Within the first few months, I went through 2 heated mouses (mice?); the first one fell off of my end table onto my hardwood floor. The mouse itself still "worked", but the scroll wheel was then knocked off its track, and I use that wheel constantly throughout the day, as I work in finance and am in and out of multiple reports and spreadsheets all day long. I figured this was my fault (even though the drop was less than 2' from table to floor), and I ordered a new one, because I simply love the heat feature (which works perfectly, BTW).
The second mouse broke in the exact same way. I was working in my living room on a TV tray (probably about 3' from the floor this time), and one of my animals came running by and its tail caught the USB cord on the mouse, sending it falling to the ground; but this time, it landed on my high pile, very plush carpet. Immediately, the scroll wheel was broken... Now, I have randomly dropped mouses in the past (I never actually realized how often it can happen, if you work from a laptop like I do and are constantly traveling and moving about); I have never had a mouse break or lose part of its functionality (the wheel) so easily as this one had. So, this time, I actually wrote the supplier and explained what had happened, and they sent me a replacement mouse FREE of charge and thanked me for being a loyal customer. This was fantastic customer service and I was simply thrilled to, once again, have my heated mouse back!
Now, here I am again. Finger tips are freezing and I thought I'd write a follow-up review, as I am again without my heated mouse... This time, nothing dropped to the hardwood or carpeted floors, the mouse wasn't shaken or clicked too hard, or anything that could have caused damage to it. But just a few days ago, I went to move the laptop from my home office, into my living room, so I could finish up my work in between getting dinner prepared. I unplugged the laptop from the docking station and the mouse from the laptop, set them both down on the TV tray in the other room, plugged everything in and went to log back in. All of a sudden, the mouse pointer on the screen was "freezing" and randomly disappearing after it would move a tiny bit. Basically, it was acting as if it was barely plugged in to the laptop and was working only when moved to a direction where it was fully 'plugged in' again. However, it was not the USB port that was the issue. The cord/wire where it connects to/enters inside the actual mouse itself is the issue. When you move or push the cord near the body of the mouse, the LED light inside goes on and off and it is somehow disconnecting from inside the mouse. It is impossible to use this now.
So, unfortunately, no more heated mouse for me. It's not practical that I need to continue to replace it every few months when it decides it is not going to function as a properly working computer mouse anymore. I think it's time to try another option for these cold fingertips.
Original Review:
I use this mouse every day - my hands and especially finger tips get very cold throughout the day and I work on a computer all day. This little thing is great in price and in quality! Gets nice and warm and it's simply comfortable to hold - no goofy shape to it. I just wish this company would make a heated keyboard and 10-keypad, next!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2015It does help keep my hands warm in my cold office, but the heat seems to be concentrated in the center of the mouse and doesn't extend to the buttons, where my cold fingers rest. The mouse is also a little too small for me to grip comfortably and move around easily (I'm spoiled in warmer months by by a wireless ergonomic mouse), and the heat control attached to the cord slides/scrapes across my desk when I mouse around, which is distracting and cumbersome. Overall it's not a great mouse, but I use it anyway because of the heat.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2016I bought this for my girlfriend who complains of cold hands at the office. Apparently the heat part worked okay, but the mouse itself is rubbish. I had to return it after maybe a day of use.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2015I have Raynauds and my hands are always cold from poor circulation. This mouse helps A LOT! It's toasty warm on low and when I'm not having a problem I can turn off the heat. My office mates are jealous :). I've only been using it two weeks but so far, so good. Might get the keyboard warmer next!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2017This is the fourth mouse I've purchase. I should get a bulk discount. That's not a bad thing. I've been using one for nearly 8 years now both at work and at home. I got one approved when I worked with the federal govt as a VERY easy way to accommodate a chronic pain issue that is worsened by cold.
It's heaven in your hand for long days on the computer.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2014Heat works nicely. Mouse isn't the most amazing quality but is exactly what I expected
