Life is good for the count and his beautiful Catherine and the residents of Dalmar but a dark cloud of horror is sweeping toward them. It appears the Count may have to revert to his vampire instincts to fight off some of the beasts.
Woven throughout the story is the romance between Count August and Catherine as the story builds to an emotional climax. The entire story is well written and the characters come alive. The last chapter is a mini-masterpiece of emotional, romantic writing. Highly recommended.
This book could have been made in a very long book but was rushed threw it.
Much like a fairy tale, this story has a lot of fantastical events. I mean, it is a paranormal romance after all, but at it's center it has a real warmth too. The main heroine and hero really love each other and it is evident in this unique love story. The ending was a little sad but it fit well into a wonderful story and series that I really enjoyed.
