Product Description

The VEO 42 backpack goes hand in hand with the compact VEO tripod or monopod, offering your support two seamless fitting carrying options: either in the full depth dedicated and discreet internal compartment, or connected externally using one of the side slip-in pockets to dock and secure. Lightweight, casual and inconspicuous, with this fresh approach to travel photography you will always have support on hand and never feel encumbered when running to capture a moment or discreetly explore new locations. The VEO 42 offers a quick-action separate bottom opening to a compartment that snuggly holds a modular padded insert that will safeguard a DSLR with lens attached, 1-2 lenses, a flash and essential accessories. The spacious top compartment offers storage for all one expects in a daypack such as snacks, clothing, book, sunglasses, etc. We have of course also taken into consideration all other essential needs and incorporated in the design a dedicated rear laptop compartment that fits up to a 13 inch laptop such as the Ultrabook, large zippered front pockets for smartphone, wallet, travel documents and anything else you need close at hand when on-the-go, and two side slip-in pockets for water bottles or to dock and secure your VEO tripod or monopod when you want to utilize additional storage inside for other gear. With the tripod or monopod stored inside, the VEO 42 does not look like a camera bag, and actually when you don't need to use it as such you can easily convert it into a great spacious and comfortable everyday daypack by removing the insert and leaving your camera gear at home. No matter what you are carrying, the padded back and harness will offer comfortable weight distribution. And should you find yourself in a downpour you will be able to stay dry with our total coverage rain cover.

    Wanted a backpack camera bag because my camera is a bit too heavy for messenger style bags. The design of the packing space is nice - it fit my Canon EOS 5D and zoom lens well and the compartment on the top also held everything I needed for use as a day pack when traveling. The main reason I chose this bag was because it was small enough to use as a backpack while traveling without obviously looking like a camera bag. The side pocket for carrying a tripod was also a huge plus. The camera compartment is easy to access and offers good padding for protection.
    However, given the weight that the bag is meant to carry (camera, lenses, and a 13" laptop), the bag is extremely uncomfortable. I mostly carried the camera and lens and a book, without a laptop. The pack padding is lumpy in the wrong places, and not sufficiently firm, and the straps dig into your shoulders. My shoulders started to ache within the first hour of walking around with it.

    I didn’t want a big, bulky camera backpack but I wanted something that would really protect it. I also didn’t want a backpack that obviously looked like a camera backpack for fear that someone would try to rob us while using it. This was it! It’s a bit expensive but well worth the money! And it carries a lot more than what it looks. The straps are really nice too. They have enough cushion to make the backpack feel light weight but not too much to where it’s bulky. Would highly recommend!

If you're just carrying a lens or two, your camera body, a laptop, and all of your cords, this is PERFECT.     I wasn't very sure about this bag when I first bought it wasn't sure I was going to use it. But it turns out to be a very practical and useful backpack. I can fit my camera (Nikon D5300), a second lense (wide angle) and other accessories in the bottom compartment. I can fit my super telephoto lense 150-600mm in the upper compartment and there are plenty of pockets for accessories. There's also a compartment for a laptop or iPad that worked really well for me. You can even carry the Vanguard travel tripod in the side pouch. Great camera backpack.
