Sure I had heard some of this before, but I found the author's presentation to be unique, effective and genius! At first I thought it to be a bit wacky to be using taro cards for discovering a new perspective but once the author explained the method I found to be brilliant and something I now will use in my creative inspiration as I write - everything from character development to plot and setting. This is all new to me but a brilliant approach.
It was fascinating to see how the author used images to spark ideas for new writing and completing a piece of the story.
I also loved all the brain hacks to combat writer's block (Omega 3 my literary brain's new best friend!)
Writer's block no more! Thanks to this book.
In the book were several suggestions of how to write more, with more depth. It's caused me to look around with a different view, in order to come up with writing ideas.
Pictures can inspire and with the intention to do so, I'll be a better writer.
I gave this book a five-star rating because of the ideas and ways to become a better writer.
In addition to that, having always wanted to, (and doubted that I could), write fiction, I believe that some of these techniques could even inspire me enough to take the leap and 'give it a go'. Thanks to the author for sharing her knowledge, experience and insight in order to assist others! Highly recommended!
The author certainly helped me with an arsenal of ammunition against the writer's block army that may make its saluting appearance at my desk at some point. To them I say: BEWARE as Nancy Hendrickson's book is near!
The book is well-written, professionally structured and nothing falls short from this older and quite a bit more experienced hand at writing. The content is engaging and Nancy shared quite a number of resources and other experienced writers' point of views on the subject of writer's block. Joe Bunting's probably struck me the most (no, I am not going to spoil the surprise...).
Honestly, you might just as well save yourself the time and effort of having to search for this book at a later stage and grab yourself a copy right now. At the current price or any other price for that matter - you simply won't find the same value in ten other books combined anywhere else.
Engaging with experience shining throughout which includes pure, problem-solving solutions to vanquish writer's block...
