Jimmy "Vassago" Vaccaro is good at what he does both on the right side of law and outside of it. And when it comes to love, he's never felt to need to find 'the one' and settling down. He's heard of the Thunderbolt and seen others when they get struck, he just never expected it to happen to him.
The moment they laid eyes on each other, thunder struck and turned their world upside down. But Marie's reason for running only compounds the danger surrounding the club. Can Vassago find a way to get Marie out of her mess while also getting the club out of danger as well? And he can, will Marie want to stay with Vassago or return home when all is said and done? But more importantly, will Vassago want Marie to stay?
Vassago's Reckoning is a sexy, thrilling, captivating read that will get your heart pumping and panties melting.
I love Marie and her feisty attitude. Her willingness to speak her mind, especially to Vassago, is exciting to watch. And the openness of her sexual needs is exhilarating. I really love how she was able to assimilate to life within the club and willingness to help wherever needed. She's a down to earth person with a big heart, what's not to love about that.
Vassago is, in short, yummy. He's tough and rough around the edges but also very passionate and loyal. His dedication to the Demons and all the people that live at the club is endearing. He's a man that you standing beside you through thick and thin. And when someone messes with his family, he'll take it upon himself to take action to make things right.
When Marie and Vassago heat thing up... hot damn! All the dirty talk and naughty desires are hot, hot, hot. Vassago definitely knows how to handle a woman and leave her well satisfied.
I've really enjoyed the Demons on Wheels MC series and Vassago's Reckoning is a stunning conclusion to this series. I love how Marie and Vassago have a history and their bond and love grows from that. They accept each other, flaws and all.
If you love a story that's provocative, a hero that's exhilarating, a heroine that's bewitching, and storyline that's gripping, then I highly recommend you pick Vassago's Reckoning.
Vassago and the rest of Demons may work hard, but they will also take care of all your needs and desires and make sure all your naughty fantasies come true.
This is the last of the Demons on Wheels MC, and that makes me sad. I have really enjoyed the series and this last book is no exception.
Vassago and Digger plan on taking out Roberto di Stefano, a rival mob boss of Donnie. Digger shows up at the MC club with Marie Vitale, a woman from back in Brooklyn who had a huge crush on Jimmie (Vassago) since she was a young girl. She is running from her ex-fiance and the attraction between her and Vassago is electrifying. The sex is hot and heavy and, although they are becoming emotionally invested, both are convinced the other is only thinking this is a short fling.
The story tells of the things that go on with the club, the people and we have the closure that I crave in a series. Even though this could potentially be a stand alone book, it is much better read as a series. Thank you Ravenna Tate for another great series.
Jimmy Vaccaro, a/k/a Vassago, is Treasurer of the Demons on Wheels MC. Recent threats and attempts on the lives of club members, not to mention Vassago's cousin, Donny Messina, have become intolerable. One man, Roberto di Stefano, is responsible. Vassago and his friend, Digger, know this has to end. They've come up with a plan. Protection of friends, brothers, and family mean everything. There's just one catch...Marie Hall! When Digger shows up with Marie in tow, Vassago's hit by the Colpo di fulmine, the Thunderbolt. Many deny its existence, but Vassago's a firm believer. It's been over 20 years since Vassago last saw Marie, but the Thunderbolt's never wrong. Only Marie's there under false pretenses. Vassago soon realizes Marie not only puts the MC in danger, but she has the ability to destroy his and Digger's carefully crafted plans. What does he do? He's torn between the his feelings for Marie and the knowledge she may be the worst thing to have ever happened to the MC. He may never return from his mission. Despite the 20-year separation, Marie's adoration for Vassago has never dimmed. But Marie knows her duplicity and Vassago's mission make her days under the MC's protection numbered. She's also sure she's nothing more than a casual fling to Vassago. Can Vassago, Digger, Donnie, and the rest of the MC forgive Marie her lies? Will Digger and Vassago fulfill their mission? Failure isn't an option. As Marie sits, waiting in fear and desperation for her future to be decided, Digger and Vassago take enormous risks. With so much at stake, can Vassago or Marie move beyond the past, forgive the present, move forward? The better question is will Vassago and Digger survive? If not, the Thunderbolt means nothing. Can Marie live with that, knowing she's the one who may have destroyed everything? One thing is clear. It will take a massive leap of faith, a nearly impossible trust, plus incredible skill and luck, for there to be any future for the MC or Vassago and Marie.
This is the last book in the Demons on Wheels MC series. Ravenna Tate's written an ending you'll never see coming! Vassago's absolute devotion to his MC brothers, family, and even Marie, make him irresistible. Marie's betrayal, her strength, and her ability to hold her own in a lifestyle she doesn't understand make her seem incredible selfish, cruel, and yet self-aware simultaneously. The detailed descriptions of this lifestyle give insight and perspective into the MC and what drives them. There's intrigue, suspense, uncertainty, and, of course, erotic romance. Vassago's real struggle to accept Marie's betrayal, set against the backdrop of his certainty of his love for her, is captivating. The upheaval and conflict catches you totally off guard. Ms. Tate knows exactly how to enthrall in ways you never expect. The tension, fear, uncertainty, hope, and possibilities are real. This book is the culmination of a series I never thought I'd become so invested in. Vassago's Reckoning deserves nothing less than five stars. Thank you, Ms. Tate, for a stunning ending to an incredible series.
One final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the author! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
Even though this can be read as a standalone, it’s best read in order with the rest of the series. I pretty much love anything Ravenna writes as herself or under other pen names, though this series is a bit tougher due to the MC characters. They are all a bit rough around the edges and not my kind of guys, though they are dominant and kinky, so I have to give them credit for that.
