From the Manufacturer
Vaughan & Bushnell's Bear Saws are made to cut on the pull stroke rather than on the push stroke. This allows the use of a thinner blade, which removes less material, making sawing easier, faster, and more accurate. Bear Saw blades are durable spring steel, plated for rust resistance. The specially ground, tri-edge teeth are impulse hardened to retain their sharpness. Four easily interchangeable blade styles match any task, from rough cuts to fine woodworking; any blade can be used with either style handle. This model has an extra fine blade style. The blade locks securely in the handle, yet the saw can be quickly disassembled for convenient toolbox storage. A blade guard protects the teeth when the saw is stored.

I keep this saw handy in the shop, and find myself grabbing it more often than the jig saw or sawzall for those quick chops - you can rip through a 2x2 in less time with this saw than it would take to put a blade in one of the electric ones. It's also good for doing flush cuts if you need to trim something close, and the blade is very thin.
All in all, the bear saw is a must have tool for anyone doing any sort of trim work or finish carpentry, or even if you're cutting PVC pipe and other soft plastics.
The Marples saw has a removable blade but in over ten years of searching I never found a blade for it.
Ps. I picked up mine after listening to my coworker talk about his. I didn't believe it was all that until I tried it myself. So do yourself a favour and give it a try!
