I had to use this stuff to clean aircraft wind shields when i worked at an FBO. At first i noticed that it got bugs off very well, and after looking it to it i was really impressed with how it doesnt scratch the plastic.

So years later i bought it to detail the gauges on my new car. I have noticed that even microfiber cloths will scratch the delicat plastic that covers your gauges. So i got this stuff and sure enought my micro fiber doesnt scratch (aslong as i dont press to hard). The plexus makes it easy not to scratch since it sticks to the gauges as an even coat, so you wont ever hit a dried up spot while you are wiping it off.

I plan on using this stuff on my snowmobile helmet lens aswell.

Also i do not know why the can says no paper towels, at that FBO i used standard whit paper towles that you would have in your kitchen. They actually made me use those. So im not sure if they just meant those crappy brown paper towels or what, but i didnt see any ill effects.

A friend recommended I try using this for my acrylic aircraft windows. It takes off dust, bugs and dirt like nothing else I've ever used. Combine it with a microfiber towel and you've got the best plastic window cleaner out there as far as I'm concerned. It leaves a nice slippery feel to the windows and actually seems to polish them over time. It also doesn't have a foul smell to it like some of the other products I've used. I had one person who thought my windows must have been replaced recently because they looked so good! I know it seems expensive, but a can lasted for an entire summer of flying for me and I recommend it to all my friends. Do yourself a favor and buy this for any/all of your plastic window cleaning needs!

This product is excellent! I've read several reviews for it only working on plastic and not working well on other surfaces, and I whole-heartedly disagree! I used this, for the most part, on my motorcycle and gear. It works great for cleaning my helmet shield and the windshield on the motorcycle. I first used Plexus to clean the plexiglass windows of a Super Decathlon airplane. It left them clear and bright and seemed to make any scratches disappear. I also use it on the soft plastic, rear window of an old English sportscar. It leaves the window clear, clean and supple. Lastly I use it to polish the clear plastic covers on the headlights and taillights as well as the instrument panel of a 7 year-old Hyundai. Though the car is a Florida car, and is thus subject to both severe UV and salt air, the headlamp covers are clear and show no sign at all of sun-crazing. Was looking for a safe product to use on plexiglass that makes it shine and help bugs from sticking when they get smashed into. This does a very good job. Windows look GREAT and clean up easy after you apply this stuff. I will say you must clean your surfaces before applying this. The cleaner the better. I would have gave it five stars but it smells bad. I use disposable rubber gloves now. It pricey but it doesn't take much to do the job. I like the results and people notice the shine on my windshield and side windows.

PLEXUS - THE GENIE IN A CAN

Plexus was developed for the aviation industry and will clean (without harming) virtually all surfaces except upholstery. I use it on the Metal Monster, a Honda Gold Wing. I use Plexus on all surfaces except for the seat and Plexus does a terrific job. It is expensive but consider this - with Plexus you don't have to spray water on anything. You simply spray on the Plexus and then wide it off with a clean, dry microfiber or terry cloth towel. Bug splats on the windshield and the front surfaces of the bike? No problem although bigger ones may require two applications of Plexus to clean everything off.

Plexus does leave light wax like finish behind which makes cleaning with it the next time easier. Plexus truly is the genie in a can because it makes cleaning all parts of a vehicle so much easier.

Excellent product that I have been using for years for plastics on my car. As the company says, this was developed as a polish and wax for fighter jet cockpits. It works extremely well at cleaning and protecting all sorts of plastics without harming them in the long run (as many products often do). I bought this originally for the vinyl rear window on a convertible I have since there are very few products that actually clean/protect vinyl Windows without damaging them, more so than other plastics.

The way plexus protects plastics is basically by adding a layer of plastic on top of it. By doing this this creates a protective patina, if you would, that protects even from UV rays by being the first point of contact.
Whenever a friend of mine is at my house and is complaining about their headlights having some haze to them I just clean the lights quickly and spray them down with plexus. They are always amazed with the immediate results!

Note: 1 use of plexus won't take a worn plastic and make it new. There most certainly is an effect, but you must be realistic. The way to actually yield drastic changes is via consistent and regular use (i.e. Once a week which I highly recommend).
