They are comfortable, and you can get them on and off easily because of the double zippers. If I were a seasonal weekend rider I would buy these again, but with how much I ride I need something much more durable.
I had (still have) a pair of these from 2010. Both have seen decent wear. The older pair is still absolutely fully functional. My use is on the light side (I do about 2,000 miles a year of street riding) The boots themselves are reasonably water proof, on a trip in heavy downpour, I had leaks from the zippers but was still able to do the 1 hr to get home, so, they did serve the purpose well.
The price has gone up since 2010 - to be expected but the rise is not proportionate to what I paid back then.
What I really don't understand is how high up the foot area goes. It leaves a full inch along my entire foot of empty space. The insole that comes with is very thin and uncomfortable.. maybe they assume people will be buying thick replacement insoles?
They grip the road well. Stiff when you first get them.
They are a little bit higher than I'd hoped, but it's just personal preference, not product malfunction.
If you like your boots really snug on your feet, get your size or 1/2 size smaller (I wear 10.5. I think 10 would have fit nice and snug). I went 1/2 size up, and it still fits well, with a little breathing room, or the ability to layer up socks if I want to ride in the winter.
They're easy to get on and off, very comfortable ( even for walking )
and have proven to be fairly rugged and long lasting.
On those occasions when I had to ride in the rain my feet stayed dry
although I would not consider these to be waterproof.
They've held up well for several seasons and will likely buy another
pair when these finally need replacing.
I would definitely recommend these to others looking for a
rugged, comfortable boot.
