"15 Most Anticipated Vegan Cookbooks of 2014, March 2014" - VegNews
"Recipe developers Steen (500 Vegan Recipes) and Noyes (Grills Gone Vegan) present a new collection of vegan and often gluten-free recipes that can be served as snacks or small plates. Like Teri Lyn Fisher and Jenny Park's Tiny Food Party!, this cookbook is visually appealing and filled with clever presentation and menu ideas. Baked jalapeños and buffalo tofu bites are so indulgent it's easy to forget they contain ingredients like arrowroot powder and nutritional yeast. VERDICT Vegans and vegetarians will embrace these party-friendly recipes. Meat eaters will, too, but they may need convincing to accept baked marinated mushroom slices as "bacon." - Library Journal

As someone who loves little plates of food, this book offers so many options.
The ingredients are mostly pantry staples, and the creative ways these are used is nothing short of genius.
The last few block get-togethers I hosted featured finger foods form here, and the crowd of meat eaters devoured these and gave praise to them.
Skip dinner, have hor'dourves instead.
If you have a sweet tooth, the Nutty Caramel Bites are the stuff of dreams! They have texture, sweetness (but not too much) and melt in your mouth chocolate so what's not to love?! The Vanilla Cream Tartlets will get oohs and ahhs from your guests or family for sure. The crust is perfectly easy and filled with the most scrumptious, luscious cream filling. We also made the Double Decadence Choclate Berries because they just sounded like something you needed to try. They are one of those desserts where you take a bite and instantly have to close your eyes. You can't even help it! You will always want strawberries to be served like this for then on.
I love that they include suggested menus of which will go together since sometimes I find that tricky. I also love that there are recipes that use up the unused parts of another. Like the potato skins insides go to making the potato puffs. Less waste is always great to me! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone. I am looking forward to trying even more from this wonderful book. Celine Steen and Tamasin Noyes have worked their magic into another great project and I can't what to see what they will do next.
