I have read both books in this series-I have already pre-ordered the next one. I read a lot of cozy mysteries and this is one of my favorites (as is the first book in the series). The mystery is is excellent and I love the characters. In some cozy mysteries, the characters are not really fleshed out, but they are in this series. Charlie is such a likable person, as is Aunt Evie. The books are not just about the mystery, but feature other parts of the characters' lives, which I really enjoyed-Charlie starting her photography business, her interactions with Rufus, her next door neighbor's dog and of course, the hunky cop! I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series and I hope that there will be more books in the series. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!!

I very much enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the next book. Unlike book 1, Charlie doesn't throw herself into this mystery in a clunky way that just makes you cringe. Instead this story had an authentic flow that felt natural and not forced.
We see a lot of growth in Charlie and the author. So if you are looking for a fun, low key mystery, I definitely recommend giving this book a try. If you did not read book one, that's fine. There is enough background to not leave you lost, and as I said I thought the story was more enjoyable in book two. Book one was really about setting the stage for the series. Also, if you later really want to read book one, there are no true spoilers that ruin the book. You can see it more as a prequel.

Read the first two books, and now I’m totally hooked! Love the writing, the characters, and of course Rufus!
I’m a diehard mystery reader, and when the dark psychological stuff brought me down, I read Book 1 just to escape. Well.. loved it so much, bought the other two. Book 2 is fabulous, now waiting to read Book 3. Ms. Finn has such a way of bringing the characters to life, adding her witty charm to any situation. And the mystery part? She always has the twists and turns so that you’re there sleuthing along with her!
I hope there is more to come from Charlie, Rufus, and and the gang at Sunrise Bay!
