Not worth the price at all. Buy something else from a different company. I should have returned mine shortly after buying it. It has had nothing but problems.
Cons / upgrades:
* Blower system to cool filament
* Upgraded Z axis screw, nut and coupling
* Replace all drive and idler pulleys with GT2 types and GT2 belting (tooth profile on supplied timing pulleys / belt is not good for printing and usually comes warped from what I've read)
* Excessive time to build
* Supplied ribbon cable for wiring is a joke - extremely small gauge (and I work with PCBs / electronics frequently)
* Filament roll mount threaded rod threads are malformed
* Recommended glass plate clamped to heated bed for flatness
* Extrusion is well made and angle brackets are very well formed (measured against machine square accurate to .0004")
* No parts were missing and I had a few extras
* Controller works well, stepper current easy to setup
* Build and set-up manuals are VERY detailed, a few typos but nothing too bad
* Not a high speed printer but will do a good job at slower speeds
* Extruder and hot end work well
It still have some good point about this printer. You can learn a lot more of 3d printing on this project and everything can be customizable if you have time. Even the print size can be anything you like since most of the part can be easily replace with different size ( you assemble it so sure you can take it apart ) Most are standard part you can find different in length. The original print size is about 8x8x8 you can modify it to 8x8x20 by replace 6 metal rod and a ribbon cable. or you can even make it 20x20x20
5/5 came will all its parts
0/5 if your from the usa or any other place not close to the UK your going to be sorry because the cpu board is only sold in the UK or close by (my board was not working 100% only one small problem but that's all it needs to stop you from printing anything)
p.s. if anyone finds out cheapest way to get the board for the printer to the usa please message me all i can get if I pay upfront and 100plus shipping so to get other cpu board for printer as it is right now in the usa is 300 bucks
most cards are 160 E turn that to usa and its 200 plus the 100 oversea shipment waste of money
Some of the parts are a little iffy in terms of how robust they may prove to be. In particular, the end stop switch brackets are somewhat flimsy. The micro-switches themselves feel kind of cheap too. I will probably replace them with something less agricultural at some point but I am having too much fun right now.
