I did purchase a vello mouting bracket (CB-600) that allow me to mount the receiver on the bracket beside the camera instead of on the flash shoe. Also purchased an extra cable for my vello battery grip control to use that instead of the provided cable. It is much shorter than the provided coiled cord, so it stays out of the way and no extra cord hanging to deal with. Need to contact vello to order this cable, but that is easy and the cable only costs $7 plus $3 shipping.
Only dislike is the remote powers up anytime a button is pressed. Would be nice to have a standby mode that comes to life with pushng any buttons, and an on/off button that turns the unit on/off. Be careful where you store so the buttons don't get pushed, keeping the unit on.
The wireless shutter release makes it very easy to take a picture of our storm chasing group, and no one is out of breath!
